I have some home automation software run this twice a day, which is the only time mine loses focus.

I emailed Ken and he confirmed that the Object Size Exceeds percentage refers to the "Total Image Size", not just the active pixels. Hope this helps someone in the future :)

As I'm playing around with it more, I think my issue had to do with profiles. I have my profiles set for each camera from commands sent to Blue Iris from an outside program...seems like when using Test Run Through Motion Detector, it is running through my Profile #1 - Blue Iris's default...

giel - thanks for the reply. Have you used the feature and if so, do you use it with a clip from a previous alert or do you use footage from 'continuous' recording? Trying to figure out why it's not working for me :)

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I get a clip generated by sun/shadows activating the motion detector on a cam. I have the rectangles turned on and so I see the location in the image where the motion is taking place. I replay the clip, and select "Test Run Video Through Motion...

Anybody ever hear back definitively from Ken on whether this refers to the 'frame' or the total of the zones? I think that Blue Iris ignores areas that are not in Zones and so if you don't create a large mask zone - then I'm thinking that it is only going to take into an account the pixel...

Thanks for the reply fenderman :) I tried a global schedule override, but that did not work. Could it be because I don't use a global schedule, but rather select the global profile via a http command? I would use the global schedule, but I don't think there is a way to select the profile...
