    Probably the reason is that you use an account with DMSS and all family members use the account? If you add the recorder on the DMSS app "local" with QR/serial and without account you can control the notifications on each device.

    There is an option at SMD to set it to low/medium/high. Did you try to increase? Also there is an threshold for the PTZ tracking size. Try to decrease. I noticed that it indeed is not so sensitive as you would expect. Dont have an PTZ live now so not able to look into it now.

    The bracket definitely helps for rain and snow. Not perfect but reduces it alot. What about painting the camera in the same color or color that not stands out like white.

    Try to format the SD card so it can be optimized for your camera. There is a format option at storage. Also check the detection region at video detection.
