alastairstevenson - Thanks, progress. Plug in wasn't enabled. Now no matter which user/password I enter, it says account doesn't exit even though I can use them to log in with Smart PSS or directly into NVR.

I updated the firmware on one of my four IPC-HDW5231RN-Z cameras and it went OK. Is there a way to backup the old firmware before updating? I would like to keep it just in case.

Andy, I bought four IPC-HDW5231RN-Z (P/N 1.0.01.04.18696) a few years ago. They are not on the list. They have never had the firmware updated. Can the firmware be updated with the version listed in the first post?
