NEW SD59225U-HNI Latest New Firmware SD-Eos_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.812.0000007.0.R.210706

Thanks. I had given up on checking Dahua's webpage, as it used to only have outdated firmware. Just updated and everything looking fine.

NEW SD59225U-HNI Latest New Firmware SD-Eos_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.812.0000007.0.R.210706

Does this work on the SD6AL445XA-HNR-IR? The firmware I'm running: V2.810.0000017.1.R.P9.4512.UN.NR, Build Date: 2021-07-06

IPC-T5442T-ZE IPC-T5442TM-AS IPC-T5842T-ZE SMD 3.0 Smart IR Latest New Firmware From EmpireTech

I'm on a Mac. I've tried it with Safari, Firefox, and Chrome. All gray out the "mode" selection and it's stuck on "auto". I figured out the issue. I have the schedule set to day/night. With that selection, you can't force the mode. I was thinking of it intuitively that it was just switching...

IPC-T5442T-ZE IPC-T5442TM-AS IPC-T5842T-ZE SMD 3.0 Smart IR Latest New Firmware From EmpireTech

Does any of the firmware versions allow control of the "day/night" mode? I'm running the latest version and have run the older version and it's always been grayed out for me. I have a situation where there's enough light to kick into "day" mode, but then reverts back to "night" mode and will...

    Lost cause....

I agree. SH has made many promises of upgrades but they are always extremely late and fall short of expectations. There's no excuse why they don't officially supported Big Sur after all this time. I've given up on them as well, but will continue to use it until it breaks or better software is...

Installing a lens filter on turret?

I actually have that filter/holder for my VIOFO dash cam. The polarized filter works pretty well there. That looks like an IR filter in your pic. How do IR-pass filters improve the image?

Installing a lens filter on turret?

It's a fixed lens. What kind of glue do you use? I was thinking hot glue so it could be popped off without too much trouble when needed. I could bond at the ring edge but risk touching the filter itself. Are you aware if Dahua windows have a coating on outside surface?

Installing a lens filter on turret?

Has anyone installed a lens filter on the outside (or inside) of a Dahua turret cam? I'll like to attached a polarizing filter to cut some strong glare at one of my locations. I have 77mm ring filters from my DSLR I could use. I suppose gluing on a 77mm adapter to the turret is an option that...

Why the retreat from 1/1.8" sensors in the latest Dahua bullet cameras?

"Starlight" may be Dahua's marketing term, but "STARVIS" is Sony's trademarked name of a line of their sensors. Dahua does identify STARVIS as the sensor inside the 5231. There are a few variants of the Sony STARVIS 1/2.8" sensors so I'm curious how people are able to figure out which is for...

Why the retreat from 1/1.8" sensors in the latest Dahua bullet cameras?

The 1/2.8" number is confusing and comes from the history of television camera tubes. It doesn't imply the active sensing area is 0.357". Look up "the rule of 16". It is still useful however as it does give a size that can be compared - the larger the number the bigger the sensor. What we really...

    Dahua Illumination Specs

I don't know how we could get that info except directly from Dahua. That may be true but doesn't explain how min illum numbers could be identical when Dahua calls both image sensors "1/2.8" STARVIS™ CMOS". I highly doubt they would be swapping complete sensor types when the other indicators...

    Dahua Illumination Specs

I suspect error is the case. The min illum numbers are useful to me as I have a number of Dahua cameras so it gives me a rough sense of sensitivity comparison. The spec is also useful when trying to compare Dahua models. I'm guessing the correct min illum specs are for the 2MP sensors as those...

    Dahua Illumination Specs

The 59232XA-HNR and 59432XA-HNR specs are posted above. Do you think they made improvements on the 4MP sensor to match the min illumination specs of 2MP sensor?

    Dahua Illumination Specs

The sensors are exactly the same. Same type. 1/2.8" starvis.
