    SMB2 support on 2CD2132?

Cameras: DS-2CD2132-I FW: V5.4.5 build 170123 Grey market with MTD fix. Had a long run without having to worry about these cameras :) Which has been lovely after the plethora of rubbish FW and having them bricked by Hikivision. But alas it looks like they've come back to bite me in the rear :(...

Thanks, in my case I couldn't get any response from terminal. Banged the keyboard and not a single character appeared.

UART connection to recover Hik cameras

Ok I’ll give that a try. So on first PC no keyboard inputs were working at all? IE even after it booted nothing u typed showed up. Have to dig out another PC and keep my fingers crossed.

UART connection to recover Hik cameras

I thought that was more for people who had issues editing mtdbkocks/etc manually. I’ve managed to do all the other cameras using tftp updater and hex edit. This one is completely bricked (not connecting to tftp server) which is why I’m using UART to try and point it to the tftp server.

UART connection to recover Hik cameras

Finally got around to trying to fix my bricked 2CD2132 and its been a royal PITA. Firstly the Prolific USB-Serial adapter turns out to be using a counterfeit chip and prolific in there wisdom have blocked it in their latest drivers without letting you know why. In my case as I was using an old...

UART connection to recover Hik cameras

Does anyone know the size of molex connector on the 2CD2132 Dome cameras? I ordered the TTL UART which came with fly leads, but they don't fit. And my local components store don't fancy pulling out all their molex connectors to find the right size :/

Anyone else having issues with push notifications?

Ok switched. Let's see how it goes :) I recal from your other post you saying the US server keeps a record of older alerts. I just tested and it doesn't seem to be the case for me?

Anyone else having issues with push notifications?

Thanks, I did come across your post. I am also in the UK and connecting directly to the cameras (no NVR). I did try switching region to US, but it didn't make a difference. Do I need to switch anything on the actual cameras, or just settings in IVMS4500 app settings? I'll try switching again...

Anyone else having issues with push notifications?

Just to clarify, I can enable them within IVMS4500 (either by being on LAN, or via VPN into LAN), I just don't get any notifications. Seems to randomly stop working for days on end.

Anyone else having issues with push notifications?

I have 8 cameras setup across two locations. Occasionally when a location is unoccupied we enable event push notifications on our iOS mobile Apps. Push notifications worked fine on both setups for a while. A few weeks ago I enabled them on all the cameras in one location and noticed they...

Receiving Push Notification alerts, but nothing in IVMS4500 when I select them

Nobody seen this before? Any other general tricks I could try?

    Backdoor found in Hikvision cameras

At the rate theyre selling us plastic crap on tick, they'll own it all soon anyway :D

Receiving Push Notification alerts, but nothing in IVMS4500 when I select them

So I thought I'd got these cameras figured out. I finally updated the last three to complete my second setup. Followed the setup sequence notes I've made (i.e. use IVMS4200 Windows for smart events, then chrome for schedule, etc, etc). But now I've run into another head scratcher of a problem...

    Backdoor found in Hikvision cameras

Why would you want to block outbound access? Given the highlighted Privilege Escalation vulnerability (and the general piss poor nature of HIK's software) I can understand the advice to avoid exposing their products to the WWW. I can only think of two reasons to block outbound access (i.e...
