Thank you. I'm doing research and will post back but one thing that's unclear to me is what do I use to record to the hard drives: computer or some kind of "server?"

What enclosure (server?) is that? I'm trying to figure out how to set-up my next surveillance network. I just learned of WD Purple for cameras. I would also like a NAS for movies, data, etc. It appears you also have yours set up to do both? Do you like it/recommend it or recommend something...

Why not SSD for video versus HDD--cost? I'm assuming you're going to use a designated purpose for video? If so, any recommendations?
