    New 3MP Wifi Video Doorbell!

I will need to mount this at an angle because of the location of my current doorbell. Will this be possible? Also I wonder if there is any way to compare the video obtained tight the NSC-DB2 and the video of the Nest Hello Doorbell? Any video samples of the doorbell actually installed to judge...

    New 3MP Wifi Video Doorbell!

The voltage at my doorbell is only 15volts. I suspect I have an old doorbell transformer. I think it is hidden in the recesses of a largely inaccessible attic, so I can't easily change it out. Is there a way to make this work with my existing doorbell set up?

Can't understand Hikvision camera resolution options

Thanks for your response. Let me give you the background information about how I have my camera set up. This will help explain my bandwidth constraints. My camera is powered by PoE. Rather than run a long ethernet cable from my router I am using a TP-Link Powerline adaptor. This is the...

Can't understand Hikvision camera resolution options

I have a DS-2CD2032-I camera with firmware V5.1.6 build 140412. Under Configuration/Video I am offered three video Resolution options: 1280*720P, 1920*1080, and 2048*1536. The only resolution choice that comes close to producing a properly proportioned image is the 2048*1536. The other...

Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I resolution choices result in distorted video

I have a Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I camera on my front porch. Firmware is V5.1.6 build 140412. Under Configuration/Video/Audio there are three options for Resolution: 1280*720P ; 1920*1080P and 2048*1536. To maintain consistent frame rate of 15FPS I have to set the resolution to the lowest...

I've lost infra-red capability on my Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I

Thanks for your response. Just so I know what you mean-- You want me to put the camera in Night mode under the Day/Night Switch and then physically tap the camera? How hard? With my finger? I've tried to do this but I don't see any change. No IR lights. But maybe because it is not dark...

I've lost infra-red capability on my Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I

After rebooting my camera I find that I've lost infra-red capability. The infra-red ring does not illuminate and my image in darkness is totally black. I have not recently updated firmware or done anything else that I can think of that might have caused this. My firmware version is V5.1.6...

    Firmware 5.3.0 for IPC 2xx2 and 2xx0

I have two Hikvision cameras. The newest one has firmware 5.2.3. The Line Crossing Detection only allows me to draw one line. Otherwise everything I want to do seems to work. The older camera has firmware 5.1.6. I am able to draw mutliple lines for Line Crossing Detection. I see there is...

Solving some NFS issues on Hikvision cameras

Thanks. I'm sure this explains my problem. This weekend, when I get some free time, I will work on this and see if I can complete this project. Thank you very much for persevering with me through this.

Solving some NFS issues on Hikvision cameras

I am tantalizingly closer but I still can't complete this task. I was able to copy the "davinci" file to the shared folder on my NAS. I then copied that to my desktop so I could work with it in HexEdit. The davinci file is indeed only 8 bytes. When I open it with HexEdit and try a hex string...

Solving some NFS issues on Hikvision cameras

Thank you very much for your prompt response to my question. Based upon your response and my limited understanding of it I think I best not proceed. At least not until I've studied up a bit more about working in the Terminal environment. If I understand you correctly, simply typing "*cp...

Solving some NFS issues on Hikvision cameras

With a little help, maybe... I am perhaps just 1 step above novice level and I'm wondering if this patch is something I can apply. I have the 5.1 version firmware. I am able to telnet into the camera and when I use the "mount" command I get the following: # mount rootfs on / type rootfs...
