I'm trying to tweak my day/night settings on the 5442 (running the latest firmware). My goal ultimately is for the camera to switch to the "Day" profile during the day, and the "Night" profile during the night. I also want WDR to be enabled in the night-time, but not in the day-time (for...
I need to vertically mount this camera+junction box to a brick wall. Does it have a 3 axis adjustment so that I can properly aim the camera when it's mounted vertically?
I'm looking at using a PFB203W to mount a Dahua 5321 turret to a brick wall. This particular location just has CAT6 sticking through the brick with no junction box. Is there enough room to hide the RJ45 connection of the camera in the top of the camera (or in the PFB203W)? I really would like...
It doesn't do anything on my 5231 either.
@bigredfish: is the 5442 basically the 4MP 2.8m fixed version of the 5231? Are there any other differences? I see it also has three streams which I need. It's also about the same price as the 5231.
BTW - those snaps look amazing! Wish I could get...
Good catch. Yeah - the LTS was positioned slightly differently. I'll reposition and try to get the soffit completely out of the image for tonight's test. Overall, I was actually surprised on how much better the LTS was able to light up the entire scene with such minimal light. I can't seem...

Profile: Night
Anti-flicker: outdoor
Mode: auto
Auto Iris: on
3d NR: on
Grade: 50
Would you mind sharing your settings?
I just thought these images look *so* much better:
Critique my night settings?
I turned on some 4000K cans over the garage at various levels and the image didn't ever really improve.
Ok - so I just swapped out the LTS for a Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-ZE. The night-vision is not great right now.. I'm sure I"m doing something incorrectly, but the images are grainy (in color) and very dark in B&W - not clear like others I have seen on this forum. Here are a couple of snapshots; one...
Example of a thread that contains night snapshots that look way better:
Night Vision adjustments for starlight dahua cams.
.. but, to your point, those shots are covering a much smaller area, so I guess that is why?
