Urgent, leaving for vacation --- Stutter. Not Performance related -

i restarted the service and also added the exclusion to the storage file and the program directory. i dont know if that fixed it or the restart did, but it is smooth now. I dont think this would stop me from getting an alert if someone actually broke in but if they managed to pull the cord in...

    Blue Iris Over VPN

THanks for your input!! fortunately this new facility is less than 10 miles away. We have local telco here that does internet, but so far (i have been here 3 years) they have provided impeccable service. They are fiber, and the hardware on each end (including the fiber lines/ONT's etc) are all...

    Blue Iris Over VPN

Hey folks. We are looking at putting security cameras on a new property. our company has an under utilized server on site currently, and plenty of bandwidth. We are likely going to set the new location up on a permanent VPN with the current location. What I would like to do, is send the...

    h264 chrome streaming in BI3

I think chrome uses the sub stream. could be wrong. I had streams going to my phone that I could never get to clean up, they were just shortcuts to the address in chrome. they were all subs.

Red rocket "like" decoder instead of GPU/CPU

So Im now up to speed on the nvidia cuda issues. Great to see that its working, sad to hear its not very efficient. This brings be back to my NVR thread i posted a few weeks ago. They use DSP chips specifically for low power decoding. I was wondering if there was anything like this in...

What if I need another hardwired port?

Not if its poe in! MikroTik Check mate. ;) (Ok in fairness you would have to run the wan to the switch and do some routing nonsense ...but it would work. :D )

What if I need another hardwired port?

you are correct. I dont know what the hell I was thinking this morning. stayed up to late I guess. I meant DHCP addresses. this fella was asking a very simple networking question, so I was trying to give a simple answer without getting into the technical details of why.

What does this HLS setting do?

Ive changed the parameters there. The bitrates change for the streams in the ui3 browser page, but the hls stream in it's own tab is still giving me problems. Ui3 works fine but changing over to hls tab stutters.

What does this HLS setting do?

BP2008 still looking for a way to set the resolution and bit rate in the HLS stream is this possible by editing the "livestream.htm" file?

    Hsl stream resolution in url

Ok so I went into the streaming profiles, and I set the max bit rate for 1080p at 1024kbps. I set 720 for 512 and 480 for 256. Is also went to groups and set the max frame rate to 25. (matching the camera) (now im home on wifi) So if I open up UI3, now I have a nice 1080 picture...
