Ive changed the parameters there. The bitrates change for the streams in the ui3 browser page, but the hls stream in it's own tab is still giving me problems. Ui3 works fine but changing over to hls tab stutters.

I read it. Also reviewed the update helper spreadsheet. I haven't really found anyone doing what I'm trying to do with building a multi purpose server, but it did shed some light on the hardware. The spreadsheet however didn't show the camera resolutions.

Netgear gs110tp is my go to switch. Just check wattages on devices. You should never have more than 1 wire plugged into your router, unless it's a router/switch/wifi combo unit. In which case, upgrade. Especially if your renting it. Ubiquiti has nice stuff that's fairly easy to use...
