Hey guys,
I'm thinking about buying the above cam, just as a "try-out".
I own several Dahua-cams and also a 16-port Dahua-NVR.
Will I be able to use this cam without the native Imou-app? I just want to integrate it in my Dahua-NVR-setup.
Best regards
Mischa
Thanks for clearing this up. I too didn't know that. Is there a list anywhere what name stands for what type of camera?
I have this one (Prometheus) and some HDW5231Z/E.
And what is the difference between ...PN... and ...NP...?
Hi guys,
I recently switched from my IPC-HDBW4231E-ASE to a SD1A404XB-GNR in my garage, which is connected with a 25-30m Cat6-cable to port 5 (green one) of my NVR5216-16P-4KS2E.
The old camera was running flawlessly with that connection, but with the new one I have a big issue.
When I...
I just want you tell you that I had success with the solution @pozzello mentioned :D
I tried two different solutions, this and this
Using the two cheap splitter-cables didn't help me, because my NVR didn't find the two cams.
But I had instant success with the 4-port PoE-splitter (BTW, I paid...
Okay, thanks for your tips!
Could you just tell me which pins on my shown connectors are which?
And can I also use PoE that was with only 4 wires?
Will 100Mb be enough for a 2MP Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-Z?
@reflection I crimped all of my cables with the shown connectors, that has a color sheme...
How do I crimp them then?
I have 8 different cables inside my ethernet-cable, 4 pairs (brown, orange, blue, green with each a corresponding white).
Which cables should I connect to which part of my connector? I'm using these ones from METZ CONNECT (TIA-568A):
Okay, I bought this one on Aliexpress, gonna see if it works. If not, I'll try your recommendation with the MMF/MFF-splitter.
Thanks a lot for your help!
Interesting side-fact I just found out:
it seems like this PoE-splitter is also sold under the Dahua-brand as PFT1300 - with the warning that it wouldn't work with the proprietary PoE-standard from Dahua NVRs:

Thanks for all your precious tips!
I now know that I could solve my problem on one or the other way :-)
Unfortunately the parts seem not to be available in Germany too easy, so do you think that using this active (means powered) PoE-switch will work - even when it's connected directly to one...
