I've just been wondering the exact same thing re the alerts on the timeline. After my setup, I've got it to set and keep footage for 25 days. Anything prior to the 12th of March at the moment the alert symbol is gone.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've setup the day/night schedule and seems 100% better. Hiky, unfortunately the weather is terrible at the moment. Slight breeze, around 33 deg not a cloud in the sky ! I think its going to be above 30 deg all week.... :D
