Picked up a DS-2CD2432F-IW and reset the camera with the button on back. SADP show cam as active, IP of 192.0.0.64 , Firmware ver 5.1.0 with a CCWR serial number. Tried 12345 and 123456 but SADP just times out.Wondering which method I can use to reset or find the password?

I am concerned about that. I think my easiest and better option is to connect cameras to blue iris and then use blue iris to handle the email sending and time synchronization settings.

I guess I don’t know for sure. Didn’t do packet capture. I turned off those settings in the configuration.

Yea. No port forwarding, just emails. Oh. And camera gets it’s time from internet.

So am I worrying about the emails from camera for nothing or is it something I should take care of.

My plan would be to only use it for camera emails and keep my current setup for regular emails. Thanks I’ll look into this also.

So having it send emails is providing direct access to internet. Similar to if ports were forwarded?
