    IPC-HDBW5231E-Z ip dome controll

Well I know its not a PTZ. I just knew the camera zoomed and didn't understand how the camera moved under the dome to point in the desired direction. There is no manual online that explains anything that I could find. So how is somebody supposed to know? And I can't get into the web UI on my...

    IPC-HDBW5231E-Z ip dome controll

I would like to install my new camera but how the hell do I adjust the tilt and zoom? I have an NVR and smart pss on my laptop. I can't find it in manuals. Why does all this stuff have to be so difficult to find? It's driving me nuts! You can do some things from program "A" but not other things...

    Too much IR

I ended up going with the new MacBook Pro that just came out. I ended up spending 3x as much as I wanted too of course but I don't regret it one bit. Awesome laptop. Unfortunately when I type in the web address of my NVR and it tells me to install the plug-in and I hit yes and I get a 404 error...

    Too much IR

Yeah I do what I want to do. I live in a bad area and the cops want as much help as they can get. There was a murder last Friday and two other shootings. There was an infant shot for shit sakes. They hardly bother with the traffic citations because they're busy with other stuff :smash: They don't...

    Too much IR

I just caught two guys climbing into my neighbors window on my PTZ a week ago and called 911 and invited the cops in my house to watch the video and I'm sure if there was audio they wouldn't have cared at all. They just wanted to catch them. That being said I do appreciate the concern and the...

    Too much IR

Yes very interesting! I was always under the impression that if you are out in public you don't have the right to any privacy unless you are on your own property behind A privacy fence or whatever. That's how the paparazzi get away with it! I'm sure there is a very very gray area...

That's good advice I do look at SD often.

    Too much IR

5208 has a mic input-in the back. I need to figure out if I can just power the mic and place it where I want outside and plug it into the back of the NVR?

    Too much IR

Directly to the NVR. Knowing what I know now I would have NOT got a POE 5208 NVR. Now I understand that I am missing out on POE+ Because I would really like audio. I live in a busy area with a lot of crime and loudmouth people so audio would be great! But I'm already running " the classic"...

    Too much IR

Right on thanks guys! I'm trying to figure out what laptop to buy as I type this. It's either get something simple that will just get me by or spend a couple hundred bucks more and get something I could actually use for other things than just getting by. I think I'm going to go with the latter...

    Too much IR

DAMNIT!!! STILL WAY OVER MY HEAD! I haven't dealt with computers since I was a kid. I understand IP addresses somewhat and typing them into the address bar to access LAN equipment but that's it. I just bought a new police scanner and it says the easiest way to set it up is to connect it to a PC...

    Too much IR

I would really like to View my PTZ on my 5208 without IR. Can it be done right from the NVR because I don't have access to the camera via a PC since I don't have a computer and only a iPad and the NVR. I am starting to understanding all of the many many problems with not having a PC! I've...

    Bullet Mic Review

If I mount a mic on the front of my house and power it can I just run the audio output from the mic into the mic input on the back of my 5208NVR that's connected to my TV and just hear what the microphone is picking up all the time on my TV no matter what camera I am watching?

    Bullet Mic Review

So before I buy a Mic I want to know if I understand it correctly. If I am powering my Dahua PTZ over POE right from the NVR there won't be enough power to power the mic AND the PTZ??
