Clips not saving more than 3 days

Hello, I did a massive overhaul on my Blue Iris machine. I installed Blue Iris 5 (fresh) and also installed 5x 10 TB drives. For some reason the clips are not being saved for more than 3 days. Clips and archiving settings are set to 900 GB on each drive, with a 21 day limit. Only a fraction...

    Ip camera going offline

This has been happening to myself over the last week or so. I am not sure the cause yet as I have been running Blue Iris pretty flawlessly over the last year. Link light is definitely on for the camera so there is some communication going on. I run Blue Iris 4 with Dahua cameras myself.

Memory maxed when recordings are moved from drive to drive

When telling a camera to record to a particular drive, I can only select from New, Stored and Aux 1-4. Is it not possible to access the Aux 5-7 this method? That's 24 TB of storage I lose out on, though I guess I can assign a drive to the Stored profile.

Memory maxed when recordings are moved from drive to drive

Thanks for your advice. When the drive fills up after doing that, what can I expect to happen? Will it auto-delete old footage to make room for the new? Do I need to delete it myself as it becomes full?

Memory maxed when recordings are moved from drive to drive

    - Intel Core i7 4790 4 GHz - 16 GB RAM - 512 GB SSD main drive - 64 TB storage (8x 8 TB drives) - Windows 10 Ent I currently have 32 cameras. I just recently added 4 and have started noticing memory issues when footage is being moved down the line from New > Aux 1 > Aux 2 > Aux 3 and so forth...

    Cameras for store aisles

The aisles are 4 ft wide and can vary from 20ft to 30ft in length. Catching the act is most important because we have surrounding cameras that can get good details of them when they come out of the aisle, but getting both good picture and the act would be awesome, of course. Also, I'm using a...

    Cameras for store aisles

Does anyone have any recommendations for cameras that can be used to capture store aisles? 720p and PoE are all I really need. They will have to be connected to the actual shelving unit so I won't be able to mount on ceiling or far away. If need be I'll get two for one aisle and shoot from...

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

Thanks very much for this new remote view! I do have a problem with it while using the login. I see the new login.htm page but after logging in it directs me to the page that comes with Blue Iris instead of UI2.htm. I tried restarting Blue Iris and clearing my cache but no avail. Any...

    6+ CPU cores

I am viewing on the local monitor. There are times where I see it below 25%, even as low as 15%, but it doesn't last very long, just a few seconds. There have been times I have seen it spike to 40% for a period of a minute, but it would go back down. I'd say more often than not I catch it at...

    6+ CPU cores

Yes, I did. It didn't affect the CPU usage as much as the direct to disc I am sure it still helps. They are at 720p. This is a life saver because we were looking to get another 16 cameras. Now we may not have to get an additional server at all. EDIT: There have been a few big spikes here...

    6+ CPU cores

Thanks so much! That dropped the CPU usage to at least 30% with the 16 cameras active!

    6+ CPU cores

I need to build an additional Blue Iris server and wanted to know if it will take advantage of 6+ core CPU's, such as the Core i7 6800 or 7800? I am currently running 12x Dahua DH-IPC-HDW42A1EN-2.8MM cameras on a 4790 at 720p and 10 FPS. I originally had 16 on the server but found that when...

Time to move from PC to NVR?

Cameras are hard wired using pure copper CAT5e to Cisco Catalyst 2960-X switches. Each switch is using OM3 10GB fiber uplinks to each other. Even the server itself has a 10GB SFP+ module connection to the switch. The only thing really holding us back is the cameras Ethernet itself is 100Mbps.

Time to move from PC to NVR?

The only thing that I can confirm is the network bandwidth is not an issue. We have a great infrastructure built from the ground up just for this camera network. I have never seen utilization go higher than 3% usage at any one time and it's usually at least than 1%. So my guess has always...
