Thanks @ivanerr the topic just got a lower priority on my bucket list ;)
Does anyone know what the "mark as vehicle" setting does? I assumed that all these objects will be classified, flagged and highlighted as vehicles but it seems to do nothing for me.
Thank you @wittaj. Finding the right settings and amount is tough in that vast array of options.
Is there maybe also a setting to handle motion detection when it rains? Right now there is light rain and the motion detection sensing and triggering is going wild :)
Edit: Even after increasing the...
I hope this is the right place to ask these questions:
I would like to trigger recording and an alert only when deepstack is able to recognize the object multiple times for a period of a few seconds.
The idea is to prevent the detection of cars or persons that pass by "quickly". In...
Thanks @sebastiantombs and @looney2ns.
The shutter speed tutorial states its best to stay with auto shutter speed but sebastiantombs recommends fixed.

Hey, I try to piggyback ride this thread: I would be way more curious about the features and usability of both platforms.
The Synology Surveillance Station officialy supports Dahua Cameras and IVS. Is there an upside when using an official Dahua NVR? More features/available settings? (The lack...
Thanks! No clue why I didn't had the following idea earlier, but I could install an unifi flex switch on the position of the eastern and northern camera and then arrange a cable downwards using the waterspout.
Thus the cable is kind of hidden (wife happy) and I could install both cams at an...
after lurking, reading a lot of threads, crunching the wiki, I tried my best to find the best camera/s for my need and now turn to you, for feedback. ;)
I would like to install three (or four) cameras on our freshly build house (We are situated in Germany).
The idea is a) deter...
