My takeaway so far is that something needs to be done on my BI Server, but NOT on the cams or the Android device. Have I got that part right? Either way, has anybody gotten the BI Android app to do ChromeCast yet?

I come away from reading various "Locked Out" threads with the impression that, if the port to the cam's Setup page is forwarded on my router, anybody can take any of my cams out of service just by attempting 5 logins to Admin. One of my cams is inop right now and that seems to be the case...

I guess I had better think about updating then - because my version has no "Profile Selection" tab on Blue Iris Options and nothing about profile in the Web server tab. But updating this site is not trivial - it will involve 180 miles of driving because of ongoing ComCast connectivity issues...

I must be running an older version of BI (4.4.0.1 x64)) because there is no "Advanced" tab on either the Blue Iris Options dialog or on the Blue Iris Options | Web server tab.

This is a day late and a dollar short, but I would point out the superiority of turret-style cams over bullet-style cams....same innards, but vastly more durable.
