Unfounded. I discovered BI here and purchased from here. Lots and lots of people on here run BI and the support you’ll receive here is simply amazing. I can honestly say that if it weren’t for this place I’d likely screwed up big time when I began to set my system up. I owe a great debit to this...
Set according to your recommendations and still no dice. In UI3 I don't see any audio control at all. Downloaded the BI App and works fine there. I'll likely use it more anyway.
I've got a Amcrest PT cam running in the house. I have audio on the BI server computer when I pull it up but when I open UI3 on my phone no audio. Have I got a setting wrong somewhere? BI is new to me and the learning curve has been a bit steep.
I’ll take a look to see if I can swap it over to unmanaged thanks. It’s way more switch than I need, and I don’t think looking at the specs it’ll hold up in the attic heat over time. I just happened to have it after renovating the phone and internet systems at our insurance office. I’ll probably...
Ok that’s what I thought, I am new to networking and thought i had the gist but wanted to be sure. Sounds like I really need to pick up a small poe switch for initial set up since the other will be in the attic.
So I think I have finally gotten this set up correctly please correct me if I have veered off course somewhere:
Router has a static assigned ip of 192.168.87.2
Connected computer with blue iris assigned ip of 192.168.87.13
Nic #2 that runs the switch is set to 192.168.88.101
I have a managed...
Sorry I was a ball tournament all day and just saw your post. It took me a couple of power cycles to get my modem to take in bridge mode and get the wireless set to off in it but good to hear you got your running. VPN is on the list for tomorrow for me hopefully. So far I have been well pleased...
I’d say the big thing would be to get a router so you can get the openvpn set up then so you have a secure route in and aren’t port forwarding anything for access. Just as an FYI the asus ac66ub1 has dropped to 89.99 on prime from 99.99. Mine should be here tomorrow if ups does their part. Good...
I’m in the process of setting up as well and from my reading you are on the right path. Take a look at southernyankees thread in the dual nic setup. So far that is the easiest way that I’ve seen to physically separate the cameras from the web and a second nic card is only about $15. You’ll set...
And no worries on the slight topic derail. I learned something new today. I had never really considered dual incoming services. I would imagine there are a number of settings that this is implemented just never had occurred to me.
