Is it recommended to go for this camera for outside, looking over and monitoring a backyard (180 degree view) in day and night or better going with two old friend 5442 side by side? The backyard is 15 meters deep. -

Any guide aboput selecting the right camera type for various use cases?
In scenario 1 my goal is to mostly monitor the backyard, an get an overview, not identifying people from very far away . I have some experience with cameras ,I am using 2x 5442 for the front door. works great. I am not pro though, obviously:) Where I am not sure is about that 270 degree corner. -

How do you recommend placing the cameras in my Scenario 1 , where I want to monitor the backyard? And which type , night vision vs Full color? Would you put two / three separate cameras instead of one 180degree camera? Great discussion for scenario 2! I guess I will go with a IR night vision... -

Should mention that I find : Dahua IPC-HDBW5441FP but looks like the sensor is not as legendary as 5442 series. -

No audio in Synology from IPC-HDW2431T-AS-S2
Solution is found by adding the camera to Synology Surveillance station as an ONVIF generic camera instead of a Dahua camera. Audio is now properly recorded. Looks like Synology Surveillance station is not directly supporting this camera and a number of other new Dahua cameras yet. -
No audio in Synology from IPC-HDW2431T-AS-S2
I can go only up to 16000 for AAC and PCM. Looks like it doesn't support higher. Unfortunately no change in the situation with 16000. What do you suggest? -

None of the live stream or recordings (general or events) in Synology Surveillance Station or DS Cam has any Audio, but there is audio on Dahua's app, both for Live view and recorded videos (events , etc.). Tried to change the audio format settings on Dahua cam between AAC, PCM and G711A but no...
