This is from memory. (from phone specs) IP66: no submersion rating IP67 can be submerged in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes IP68 can be submerged in 3 meters of water for 30 minutes Lower IP number = lesser protection. Either way, IP66 or IP67 is plenty for what they are subject to, IMHO...

Every time I've failed a reset, I didn't hold the button down long enough. Have seen just the partial reset and needed to hold it in longer. Use a robust 12V (3-5A) 3rd party power supply when powering up. I think I'm holding it down long enough. I've had to time it. SD

The color 4K's are impressive. The planters/flowers really pop on the dock. Sodium lights on the bullet killing the white balance. Great examples. Thanks for taking the time. Gotta love those 1.2" sensors.....

@wittaj Which 4K Full Color have the 1.2" CMOS? I can only find them in the 1.8", which is a worthy sensor in itself. Only the large SD8C845FG-HNF PTZ has the big sensor (IMX585) that I could find. Wish more had the 1/1.2". The 1.8 is excellent though, and the 1.2" is not cheap.

I totally agree, but there are others that don't. They work as advertised for my intended use. I have 3x SD59's and an SD6AE in service and they are great. I also have 2x SD49's and they are impressive in low light as well. SD

Hard to beat the SD49225T-HN for value (Dahua PTZ). No tracking of its SD59 big brother, but tracking doesn't work as well as everyone's expectations. The SD49 family (12x & 25x) is in the low $300 USD range, and the SD59's are $500+ USD. They use the same starlight sensor...

Happened to my SD6AE240V-HNI here in Upstate NY during a freezing rain event. I was able to review the playback and watch exactly when it occurred. Recording from the mic sounded like the gear train "slipped" and all 6 presets were off after that. I assume cams of this quality have safeties...
