I have three of these cams outside using this weatherproof cover. Note that it blocks the second USB port so you’ll need power for each camera vs. daisy chaining them together. No issues so far.

It needs to beep or it won’t connect. Reduce any background glare. Maybe do it after dark. Hold the phone a couple of inches away from the camera. Move it around if needed.
