IPC-T5442T-ZE won't power on with PoE

I just plugged the "question mark camera" directly into the switch with a short known good patch cable, but still no dice. @Flintstone61 - another good call about the power budget. That's not the case though, I'm running 5 cameras and 2 access points off a Unifi 250W switch, and it's reporting...

IPC-T5442T-ZE won't power on with PoE

Thanks for the suggestion, it's a valid one, and I haven't done it yet - I'll give it a go, but I don't hold much hope as the same run as able to power on the other IPC-T5442T-ZE.

IPC-T5442T-ZE won't power on with PoE

I got a couple of IPC-T5442T-ZE from Andy last year and finally got around to getting network cable run for them. The first one went up no problem, but the second one wouldn't turn on when connected to PoE. I double checked that it wasn't the network cable/port using another camera, which worked...

Trying to source replacement housing (IPC-HDW5231R-ZE)

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately I don't think removal of the screw is an option anymore. I had previously tried WD-40 to no avail. I also tried a left-handed thread screw extractor which ended up shearing under the turning force and I now have a piece of (I'm assuming) hardened steel...

Trying to source replacement housing (IPC-HDW5231R-ZE)

I was switching a few IPC-HDW5231R-ZE cameras for IPC-T5442T-ZE recently to make use of the AI functionality and when I went to relocate one of the 5231s the little screw that stops the camera ball from moving in its mount was seized due to weathering. I have tried many different things and have...

SmartPSS Issues - Reliable link to old version?

I tried V2.003.0000000.0.R.190802 and it worked almost perfectly, except only the first IVS rule on each camera was displayed on the live view. I tried the same version as my laptop (V2.002.0000007.0.R.181023) and all is well! Thanks again

SmartPSS Issues - Reliable link to old version?

Thanks for trying The NVR is online on the devices page. My NVR is a 4216-4KS2 running V4.001.0000000.1, Build Date: 2020-03-19, maybe some strange issue between the 2 versions - who knows! Thank you! I'll try a few from there, I'm sure I'll find one that works!

SmartPSS Issues - Reliable link to old version?

@looney2ns Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately the link that ends up point to (along with any other older version link for dahua's wiki site) is a 404 now.

SmartPSS Issues - Reliable link to old version?

I recently updated the FW on my Dahua NVR as well as reinstalling SmartPSS using the latest version on the Dahua website (V2.003.0000001.0.R.200413). Everything is working fine, except that SmartPSS can't load any video streams. It's all configured correctly, but just sits on "Searching video"...

    IP vs Analog

Thanks for the feedback everyone, feels like I'm going to be installing some IP cameras for him after all!

    IP vs Analog

Hey all, I recently installed some IPC-HDW5231R-ZE around my house and my father-in-law has been considering installing some cameras at his home after seeing them. He had a company call out to give him a quote and get some advice on where they would recommend cameras be mounted, with a view to...

    Strange colour shift in IPC-HDW5231R-ZE

I tried changing pretty much every setting I could find in each menu to see what had an effect, but couldn't isolate it, however resetting to defaults seems to have done the trick anyway! Thanks!

Is that something I can fix? Does that fit with this:

    Strange colour shift in IPC-HDW5231R-ZE

Hi all! I've recently gotten around to installing some IPC-HDW5231R-ZE cameras that I ordered far too long ago (thanks Andy!). One of them has a very strange colour shift that I can't seem to correct in any of the settings (see attached image). The camera seems to be getting the correct colours...
