Upgraded Server and now higher CPU load?

No. I have an update though. Task manager shows that BI is not the issue. Once I turned off some of the security stuff Task Manager shows 10% CPU. So that's good. I would like to note that the "Server Status" in BI shows completely different numbers. The CPU is still showing high there. I set...

Upgraded Server and now higher CPU load?

Same. 16GB. New is at 40% memory utilization at the moment. I've seen it higher. It is definitely using more memory than before as well. I wonder if it's a Windows issue.

Upgraded Server and now higher CPU load?

Yes. Originally, with the old CPU and before the optimizations, I was at 25%. Then, with the new sub-stream function I was able to get to 6% with my seven 4k cameras. Everything was great until I switched to a better machine. The only thing I can think of is that the xeon was better for BI even...

Upgraded Server and now higher CPU load?

Hey all, I upgraded from a 4 core E3-1230 @ 3.2GHz to a 4 core i5-7600K @ 3.8Ghz and my CPU utilization went from 6% to 25%. The 7600k is a newer and faster everything so I'm confused. Is this normal?

    Outgrowing Blue Iris?

If the original poster has a bunch of cameras that only have one stream (no substreams) then I think his next move is upgrading the hardware. You can buy a dual CPU or quad CPU server for not too much money that will scale.

    Outgrowing Blue Iris?

Let’s see you decided not to use blue Iris what would you move to?

Video removed - FedEx drives over neighbor's dog, no brakes, doesn't stop

I don't really like dogs, and I don't really care that it was hit while running out in front of a truck. But, what does bother me is that the driver just drove off like that. Would they have stopped had it been a child that was hit? Or, didn't they even notice because they were too busy texting...

    Expecting to much

Lol. This thread. Lol. Also, to the OP, they make cameras that will automatically zoom in on plates and faces and movement. If you want the pro features, just buy a pro camera. It'll cost you though.

    Camera to TV

I searched for tv and television before I posted and didn’t find anything helpful. What should I search for? Display?

    Camera to TV

Hey, I am looking for the most stable way to display a camera group on a television for a feed that customers can monitor. I have a PC running it now with the UI3 on Chrome. The issue is that every few days it slows down until it dies. I assume it's something to do with the well documented...

    Hardware Recommendation - 30 4MP Cameras

The nice thing with these setups is that you can adjust the camera outputs to fix problems. By lowering the framerate, the resolution or by upping the compression you can lower the bit rate enough to work. You need to account for CPU usage, network usage and drive write speed. If any part...

So it just stops recording and doesn't notify you?

I have been running BI for a few years and in that time I have had it stop recording probably five times. It's usually a random software issue or a hard drive failure. The problem is that unless I baby sit the software I'll never know if there are any issues. So, it sits there not recording for...

Thank you. I tried that already. Also, I would like to add that the camera is wired (not wireless).
