Fenderman: Thanks! I think I'll try Ispy on my least problematic PC and if it's stable I can see how many USB cams it can hold,
I would use no more than 3.
Take care,
Bill
I am having a problem with 2 screen capture filters posing as USB webcams (devices) and upsetting the use of these cameras. The two bad guys in this plot are:
USScreenCapture and Byte Scout Screen Capturing Filter
This is on two different PC's.
I first noticed this with a program on a 10...
Mrgto26: Thanks for the tip. I got inside the cam and disconnected 2 wires inside which seemed to work
in daylight but now at night only the camera view totally breaks up into a pixelated mess.
How can the camera know it is dark out without the night IR sensor in use?
Thanks,
Bill
Fenderman:
Came back here this morning to the PC and launched ZViewer it had a good image from the Zmodo and then
launched BI and it also had a good view from the Zmodo. So will let things sit like this for awhile.
Thanks for the port info. I did learn a lot yesterday in a trial by fire kind...
Not so great - I went back to see if I could get the image back on the ZViewer and re-added the device which
came up okay but then it knocked it off the BI cam view. Back to "no signal" problem.
It showed a new IP name which I had also changed on BI but that did not help.
Will mess with it...
Fenderman:
Your idea was right on! I didn't think the Zmodo settings would carry over to BI but now the view is clear
of that clutter.
However I found out the IR lights are on full tilt and wash out the night sky view so I am going to explore ways
to deal with that next.
Thanks,
Bill
Hi:
My view had 2 time-stamps on the bottom and top right. I was able to delete the bottom
one via the instructions in the help file but the upper right one
does not become active with a right click or any other kind of click/delete.
How can I remove that final time-stamp?
Thanks,
Bill
Fenderman: Update/ Hello. I made some minor setting changes in my router pages mainly for the ZViewer aspect and along the way I thought I would launch
BI to try and get a USB cam I have hooked up to it then I saw the Zmodo image on the screen. Anyway it seems stable for now, I did some testing...
fenderman:
I found out in the online manual for the cam they give fairly detailed info on all the port information.
The cam is still working well off the ZViewer app. I will be going back to work Tues through Friday my only free time is after 8 p.m. or so until midnight.
Take care,
Bill
Great information!
All I need is a 60 ft range through one brick wall and down a 30 ft angle.
Once I get this set up with BI I think my range will be okay. I have a high end router and plan to get a
Amped Wireless High Power 1000mW Wi-Fi Signal Booster (SB1000)In this high stressed high...
Thanks fenderman:
The settings are very few with the default app. I was thinking of a tiny black-coated fiber optic light shining into the night sensor...
Perhaps I can pop off the front lens and paint each IR light with heat resistant black paint.
But then again the smaller plain 720 IP cams...
I am in need of a way to turn off the IR illuminators on my ZModo IP cam, a ZP-IBI13-W model.
Since there is no independent cut-off switch can this be done through any software
or perhaps cover them with black felt so only the camera lens records?
Or clip the wires inside, etc.
I no longer...
