    Need camera recommendations, 2nd story

I ended up getting 2 turrets and placed them about 8ft high. I get a much better view of the patio and can actually see faces now.

Video looks different in BI UI than on camera UI

Really? Looks opposite to me. I used snipping tool to grab the full screen screenshots. I can barely see the shed in the BI but on the camera I can see it better. Again, it could just be me but I only noticed it today after having this set up for about a year.

Video looks different in BI UI than on camera UI

Hey folks, I am sure it is just a setting that I am missing. When comparing one of my cameras at night from the Blue Iris web UI (and console) and the camera UI itself, I am noticing a difference in the quality/brightness (?). See below for a comparison. The camera is an IPC-HDW2231R-ZS. Any...

    Need camera recommendations, 2nd story

Thinking out loud (via typing), I am wondering if using a corner mounting bracket or wall mount on siding and bringing it lower on the wall and run the network cable behind the siding/J channel or something similar would be a viable solution. I would get a couple of them to cover the area I am...

    Need camera recommendations, 2nd story

Thanks everyone. I am fully aware of the less than ideal location for these. Trying to do some research on best way to do all this.

    Need camera recommendations, 2nd story

Thanks, I'll take a look at them. I'll have to look at the IR settings too, I do not believe I turned them off but you never know. In any case, I want to replace them. Appreciate the model to take a look at though. Any issues with being on the second story?

    Need camera recommendations, 2nd story

Hey folks, I am at the point where I am replacing my last two Q-See cameras that were installed years ago and a bit stuck. They are in the backyard overlooking my patio. At night, they are currently absolutely useless since they are on the second story underneath the soffit. I replaced all...

How to Backup Blue Iris Files

Can't tell if that's sarcasm or not :) lol In any case, I use the Microsoft iscsi initiator and configure it to connect to my freenas volume. Within blue Iris I just set my stored location to my D drive.

How to Backup Blue Iris Files

As another option, does your QNAP support iSCSI? If so, you can add the storage to your computer and have it show up as another letter. I am currently doing this via FreeNAS and it works just fine for me.

All cameras need to be on?

What kind of setting should I be looking for? I have tried on 2 different installations of Blue Iris. It doesn't bother me much that both Nest cameras would need to be on, but I'd rather not have the other camera be dependent on them. As far as the Nest cameras, they are for the kid's rooms so...

All cameras need to be on?

Hi folks, Fairly new to Blue Iris but I have 2 Nest cameras and a network camera I got off Amazon to test the software. I have noticed that in order to view a Nest camera through Blue Iris, they both need to be turned on, not sure why that is. Recently, all cameras including the network one...
