Just sorry I have to ship back to China on Monday when I receive it, useless for me. Will order some more a35s from the vendor (Andy)
Will Andy let you play with it any before you send it back? You have to use the Lechange app to set the WiFi and enable/disable the color ring and auto-tracking, ... but after that I’d be curious to see what web page settings you need access to that you couldn’t use SmartPSS to manage.

I would just use LeCrapoa at least to configure the camera then delete it and use other app to monitor it. I am using NVR and iDMSS. I liked it so far.

I have one a46. Configured with smartpss.
Configured the Wi-Fi with the lechange app and turned the led ring off. It's working okay know. The only drawback is that I can not make any changes at a distance. Can only local with smartpss. The other cams I can access the webgui with openvpn on my mobile. Works great.

Is the a46 better then the a35??

I find it annoying without webgui...

Had to return my A46 and get another A35 because I must have the WEB GUI.

OpenVPN on your mobile lets you make local changes though you are far away?

I liked the auto-track feature that the A46 has. I'll probably order another one (for me to keep, the first one was a gift for someone else). It's a hassle to have to use Lechange and SmartPSS to setup, but once configured, I'll rarely make changes, so "no web gui" isn't a problem for me.

I believe it the path that Dahua is taking by getting rid of web GUI completely.

I am sure that it won't be long before we see web GUI is removed from A35 or the rest of their products. The web gui is pretty outdated since you need a activex plugin to even be able to view it so that why they are probably trying to gear toward to using apps to configure future cameras and hardwares to eliminate the need for installer to lug around a heavy laptop to configure the installation.

I am a service technician for a video conferencing company for 10 years now and still going. When I first started with them, I had to carry around heavy laptop and then about 5 years ago we finally started using tablet but today we use iPhone7 to pull up service ticket, contact tech field desk via app, configure all of our hardwares and to track our time and expenses. We do just about everything using with just a couple of app that can get quickly updated with newest manual or firmware for the hardwares we install.

I would not be surprise in near future once the older information generations that started with web and html dies out then website will be a thing of the past. Everything will be done via or on apps. Dahua probably trying to get an early start. :)

Yes that openvpn is working great!.
Connect with my home network using openvpn app, when connected, its like you're at home. Can acces the router gui. Isp router gui. Ip cam's gui. Make changes. I use Asus router, the new rt-ac86,
Flashed with Asus merlin. For know I use the network service filter function to block everything from lan access the wan. Only the items you put in the list have access to internet. Great! In future I will make vlan, need to buy good vlan switch first.

Ok. A35 has no auto track feature? It's very fun to use. ;-). Cam looks nice to. Have mounted it too the ceiling. IR is good enough for one room. I think the sd1a203t-gn-(w) is also good option for inside I think. The starlight will be better then the a46 I think...

See my posts at the end of this thread A46 baby monitor. Web configuration stripped for more info on the A46 web UI. It CAN be added back in but it is not very easy to do and you still must have the stupid Lechange app to turn the light on/off or turn Smart Track on/off. Also as far as I'm aware Dahua (and probably Hikvision and every other company) are not planning on eliminating the web UI on all their devices (they might for these "consumer" specific ones) but rather they are working to change things over to HTML5 which has native video streaming capabilities without needing any sort of Active X plugins or flash support.

Edit to add - I just found a way to get the web UI back without opening your camera or needing a serial TTL adapter. Read the post I made in the other thread.

Would be nice if dahua can make an option in the lechange app to able/disable the webserver GUI.

I wonder if someone from Dahua reads on places like this and another site to see what people are complaining about. I thought removing the web UI was a dumb move. I dont really see a point in making it so you can enable or disable it though - not hurting anything if it is there.

So I ended up purchasing this a few weeks ago.

Was disappointed.

#1 The tracking feature where the cam follows you is basically useless.
#2 The cam doesn't have the ability to look down when it's sitting on a table - really needs to be mounted up-side-down
#3 The Big one.. the audio had static - which makes it 100% useless to me.. this is a baby monitor.. sometimes I'll keep it open and listen.. Can't do that if there a crap load of static.

Andy had me send the unit out so it could be tested.

*also was having problems with the two way audio

Not sure what I'm going to do now

suggestions?
Do what Andy requested. Send it in to be tested, Could be a faulty unit. Wait and see what Andy comes up with or try another model maybe the A26 or A22

I ordered the A46 from Andy Last week, I hope I don't experience the same.

I just got my A46 hooked up and I am pleased with its video performance so far. I got it connected to Lechange first then tried IDMSS and it works on that app as well. What I found really nice is that it connected to my NVR and I was able set presets, tours and various other settings (which was not advertised) and I can call those presets on IDMSS as well.

I too am experiencing crackling audio, more so when I control the PTZ and once stopped after about 20 seconds the crackling diminishes. It’s almost as if there is a noise filter enabled. I’ll play with it some more and see if I can find a resolution.

Andy, what is the current firmware for this camera, Also is there an NTSC version available?
