Neither of the firmware versions match "DH-SD49225XA-HNR". How does one know which firmware is for which device?

Not all SD49225XA-HNR or SD49425XB-HNR can use this fw, have to be the original S1 version. So double check this before you upgrade the fw

No it will not work, don't make any try or else brick your PTZ. Only for the SD49225XA-HNR or SD49225XB-HNR.

I just saw that there is a new firmware for the SD49225XA-HNR from July 2024 (DH_SD-Prometheus_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.812.0000047.2.R.240723). Has anyone by any chance tested it? The release notes do not contain any information about any changes and/or bugs that may have been fixed.
I myself am still using the firmware version V2.812.0000032.2.R, build date: 2022-08-04 with the camera and I am surprised that there is now a new firmware version for the EOL camera. Actually, this only happens with Dahua EOL products if it closes a (serious) security gap.

The S2 was not built or sold with auto tracking and the S1 firmware will not work.
The autotracking is a function with the fw, software will not make it working.

It was purchased recently. I was misled by the camera's name, SD49225XA, thinking that the S2 version comes with auto tracking... then I believed that by changing the firmware I would get auto tracking. 
I didn’t really care that it’s EOL… I just wanted it to have auto-tracking.

Onest, i thought S2 is newer model. S2 is the newer model, but as I said, Dahua removed autotracking from that camera during the S1 run, but the firmware could be flashed to make an S1 autotracking (thus this post), but the S2 is an entirely different system.

P.S. Because of hardware of S2 is not possible to flash the firmware? In the future is not any luck?
