Have you tried setting the cam back to factory defaults, then setting it back up from scratch?
Your intuition was 100% correct. LJW2K connected via team viewer and after seeing everything looked appropriate, he did a full factory reset and those two menus suddenly showed up and auto tracking is fully working now. This is really a fantastic camera. I should’ve bought a second one when I had the chance.

Do you know if the sd49425XB-HNR is the same as a 49425XBNR? Im thinking the 49425XBNR is the USA model number. Do you think this firmware would work on the 49425XBNR?

If it's not on the list then I would say No

Thanks for the quick response.

I just checked at the firmware on my 49425XBNR is the same as the current version on the Dahua site for the SD49425XB-HNR

There is not tracking menus or tabs - it is part of the setup.

Make sure you are using Internet Explorer - not Edge or Chrome with the IE tab. The Dahua PTZs need Internet Explorer or your track time will default to 15 seconds regardless what you put in and some of the settings may not show up.

You need to set up a preset.

Then you need to set-up the Smart Plan with Deep IVS for the presets you want to track.

Then select the object filters you want.

Then go to Deep IVS Rules Config page and you should see Track Time under alarm and Tracking Target size slider.

When setting up IVS rules, I strongly recommend you use intrusion box with appears and crosses instead of tripwire. And less is more. One IVS rule.

Leave min size as 0,0

Make sure that Motion Detection and Smart Motion Detection are turned off.

I repeat, make sure Motion Detection and Smart Motion Detection are turned off LOL.

If you do not have the above screen with the Tracking Target Size, then you have a version without autotrack.

Thanks guys, I tried everything and couldnt get the tracking target slider to come up. Nearest thing I saw was a Set Track Rate tab but that was in the Global setup tab under Deep IVS and it didnt do anything when clicked

User error ^
Turns out this one is labeled 200312 build date but it is actually a 201123 build when you download it.

Did some digging on here and found the 200312 build, got it installed on my 49425XBNR and the tracking menus popped up right away.

So i guess it was a user error ;)

Has anyone had issue with the auto tracking function disabling? It seems it only lasts a day for me, all I have to do is go back into the Deep IVS tab and click SAVE to get it back.

Looking at the log I see this activity happening usually in the 20:00 but sometimes 02:30 hours on several different days now. My VMS has capabilites to manage settings on the camera which I have disabled. I also have auto maintain on the camera disabled.

Any ideas? Is Dahau going in and taking tracking setting away while I sleep?

The short time frames on the log don't make it look to be human activity and no doodies have been found

49425 continues to reboot in the 20:00 hour when Auto tracking has been working on fw 200312

I didn't have AT working yesterday and it didnt reboot itself so it must be something written into the fw causing it to do this when AT is on.

Track time is also about 2 seconds no matter what its set for, yes I used IE to set it.

Anyone else with a 49425 have auto tracking working?

I would have a guess a power supply issue.

My 49425 works fine with autotracking. I agree with @ljw2k - it sounds like a power supply issue perhaps when it kicks into infrared and is drawing more power. Make sure you have POE+ and if on a switch make sure it has capacity to run it.

Hmm interesting possibilty, Ill have to check what the switch is rated for. The nightmode switch happens about 30-40 mins sooner than the reboots have been happening. Maybe the draw for the IR coupled with what the AT draw is could do it?

Im not able to get out to the location for a few days so I just turned the IR off for now to see what happens tonight Funny though that it looses just that setting on a reboot but everything else stays.
