Are you port forwarding to the outside world? The camera didnt stop recording, Synology stopped recording. I dont know why but it sounds like something got overloaded with requests, and the camera doesnt make those requests, so... I think thats a 2MP bullet IPC-B22IR-ZAS S3 Probably this one...

Very true that the 49225 does not have auto track. Yes, that comparison looks similar to my experience with the 5442 series!

The red and blue light won't scare them off. And the AI is such that it will mainly only detect for person or car. What does work is the "you are under surveillance" that you can get the 4K/X or the 180 to play, or any of the cameras that have a speaker. Let me see if I can find a video of it...

Unfortunately that's the problem with the 5442, once you use them you don't really want to use anything else. Due to the form factor, I installed a wedge next to the door for ID, I would much rather have a 5442 there and may eventually end up switching it out when I have nothing else to do, but...

I've used them on several houses doing lighting in ceilings. No problem at all, easy to use, been about 5 years, not had the first problem. They do make you wonder though, as the contacts just kind of "clip on". I'll keep using them, at least until I have a problem.......
