Fyi the camera I have at face level is a minidome wedge 2.8mm Other cameras with a fixed fov I would go with 3.6mm in general .. so the only 2.8mm camera I have is at face level

It comes with a 15 degree wedge bracket, do you need more angle than that or do you mean you want to flush mount it?

I have the black POE version which gives me the perfect wide POV. Does anyone know or have an idea of a wedge to lower the viewing angle? Maybe a tip or trick? I don't want to go w/ the white version. Thanks, Michael

...It also may not be a bad idea to physically turn the camera 90* and then go into the camera's UI and adjust the rotation to correct it. This would give you more top/bottom and less of the wall. It's worth a shot and doesn't cost you anything. For reference, this is my wedge next to the door.

I was looking at a 4mm since they just want to point it at the entrance area. Was looking for 4 or 6mp but based on your advice i'll check sensor size.

FYI I like the mini dome wedge dahua model at face level .. they used to have 2mp versions .. 2.8mm lens gives a good wide view .. but still need a camera for the package drop area

Totally agree, my head is telling me to get a 2MP with 60mm and heart is saying go with a 5442 at 32mm. Just seems like backwards steps using the older sensor now, things move very quickly in this field. In fact this has encouraged me to get a couple of the other more critical 2MP cameras...

...that's the problem with the 5442, once you use them you don't really want to use anything else. Due to the form factor, I installed a wedge next to the door for ID, I would much rather have a 5442 there and may eventually end up switching it out when I have nothing else to do, but it's not...

Bought 3 of these from Andy this morning to replace my old 1080P wedge cams.

I should note that I'm using the wedge, because the Doorbell Camera is centered on the door, and the doorknob is on the side. Seems to work pretty well.

Do like I did, get a longer screw for the top screw and put a temporary wedge (carpenter pencil) in-between the wall and the mount then you will know what degrees you need. I remember putting as many a 2 carpenter pencils. You can take one of the screws with you to Home Depot to find a longer one.
