Wiring diagram for water damaged rj 45

There is no wiring diagram, dont use ones found in Internet from 10 years away, hikvision can use different pcb versions with different colours (in same ipc model without additional information or version mark). Its best to check arrangement with old socket pin by pin (pin to colour).

dahua NVR just stopped displaying cameras?? how to fix?

IF the NVR POE ports of say 5-8 are working and 1-4 have died then the Power supply isn't the issue. If you can take your camera and connect to a different port of the NVR then 1 of a few things has happened.. 1 the Ethernet Transformer has died, Most likely caused by using CCA cables or some...

dahua NVR just stopped displaying cameras?? how to fix?

I'd love to answer your question but honestly, I don't know. Electrician that was responsible for the wiring and connecting these cameras is currently unavailable so I can't reach out to him and ask. For now - I reconnected the cameras to different ports of the same dahua switch which I got...

Hello everyone, I bought a business and at the shop there are 4 cameras and 1 NVR already installed but they don't work! I used SADP and it only picked up the NVR so I connected 4 cameras to a POE Switch finally they showed up in SADP Tool. As you can see in the photo below details are...

Spray Foam Insulation makes house not able to be sold

Just keep in mind with spray foam, wiring or plumbing later can get "interesting". I'm not doing it for that very reason.

    Is my NVR done ?

Keep in mind if you live in a high lighting area you might want to invest in some POE arresters.. One of the biggest issues is that people don't install them correctly most times and still damages the NVR. When you install them they need to be at both ends of the lines outside. You will also...

I went on vacation for 3 weeks

Sorry I was glib. Wow, I didn't expect this much ;0) No, the BI NVR kept working. I could WOL to try and do a reset of sorts and it went down and came back up. What does bother me is that the recording space was enough for a little more than 3 weeks. Given three cameras were offline for...

I went on vacation for 3 weeks

Having read your initial post I still have no clue what you’re trying to say or inferring to. So I’m going to break this down because there’s a lot to unpack here. There’s a problem with the BI NVR because all the recorded video is white. If you play back that video what period does...

    Amcrest IP8m-T2499E Pin out Question

I have a ethernet wire tester that test all 8 wires. It would skip over #3 (green/white) but the other 7 tested fine. I then took an ohm meter and checked each wire with the same results, green/white open. So I made some pig tails as you suggested and connect them together with jumper wires...

    Amcrest IP8m-T2499E Pin out Question

While 4 of the 8 wires are all that is needed to make the camera work yes.. The fact is that the camera is wired in a way that would require you to wire it as setup or the camera will fail if not connected to the right system! Can I ask how you know for sure that the Green white wire is no...

Video/Event delay - Turn Sprinkler on when an IVS rule is triggered

Hi, I have a parking spot in my property that is accessible from the street (no fence or other obstacle), there is a clear separation between the road and the beginning of my property (black vs white concrete). I want to define an IVS rule that identifies human crosses from the road into my...

    Sannce NVR N98PBD Software

I read that cable has solid copper conductors and uses twisted pairs so it may be possible to use in place of CAT-5e cable, although I'm not sure if it has at least 8 conductors. Do you have to use the J-Y(ST)Y cable that is in place for all 4 cameras, one cable to each camera? If so you could...

    SV3C Wiring pin out

What are the chances of finding a wiring diagram for an old, cheap IP camera who's manufacturer uses non-standard cables. I thought "no-chance" but you guys proved me wrong. Like others, my connector had burned out when water got in and I was about to bin it but this forum brought it back from...

    Abnormal shutdown 2xHikvision DS-2DE2C400SCG-E(F1)

Thank you for your reply. But why would it work just fine via a POE NVR, on the same cable?

25 meters of CCA wiring is a recipe for disaster. You need pure copper.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

It looks good. Are you happy with that or would you prefer a slight down angle? If so, here's a 5° down angle shim for a 3D printer: https://www.printables.com/model/333860-reolink-doorbell-accessories/files#preview:file-DCL7t

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

So I did the swap yesterday, and I think I might be able to exonerate the AD110, because the Reolink camera wouldn't stay on, either, when I first connected it to the doorbell wiring (after having done initial setup via the included wall wart). I put a voltmeter on the wires, and there was no...

    Emergency Power/Storms/Prepping etc

Wow, that’s a really deep well. Ours is around 180ft and we have a large pressure tank but no separate holding tank at all. Forget the wiring, drilling that thing must have cost a fortune since they charge by the foot.

Any recommended electrician who could help install POE cameras in Seattle?

POE cameras are "low voltage" (48VDC, IEEE 802.3AT, Cat-6E wire or better, RJ-45 connectors) wiring and connections, and by code should be run separately and apart from "line voltage" or 110VAC or 220VAC. Separate boxes in the wall, different colors (orange, not gray or blue). Before the...

Looking for Driveway Camera w/ Floodlight

Hey all, I'm still pretty new to the whole home security thing, but am looking to add a camera to our driveway. I'm debating between adding it in the center vs corner (see images). I measured the driveway which is 16.5' x 23' to sidewalk (10' from end of driveway to street). The facia board with...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Thanks for detail. I’d like to reuse the existing hole to replace current door bell otherwise people would push one of them randomly and make a hole for Ethernet later if it needs more stable network connection. But POE may be simpler if I can make a hole first. :) Also now WiFi is a couple of...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Find your existing doorbell transformer, it should show a secondary (output) voltage and current (VA) rating on a label somewhere. Just be advised that the Wi-Fi version cannot be powered via the Ethernet port. It can only be powered with the furnished 24VDC power adapter, or by the...

Setting up VPN/VLAN and Dual NIC

Looks great on the setup/wiring and sounds like you got it figured it out. Obviously you found out the NIC, switch and cameras all need to be on the same subnet for it to work correctly. You usually want the camera network to be on a different subnet from your main network (and certainly your...

Help me determine the power consumption of my cameras and video system

My wiring closet runs from an apc smart ups 700. The reported load by the UPS, 47% of 700, or 329va. The measured load by the kill a watt is 211 watts @ .9 power factor (about 230va). Based on a lot of experience w/ the KAW meter, I'm believing its numbers. This is running: (1) sonicwall...

Building separate networks for home use

Splitting WAN isn't a big deal as its done often in certain business data solutions. The question you will have to ask the ISP is if you can run a dhcp IP with a purchased IP because some of those systems use separate DNS servers (common for PPoe IP systems). The signal path is simple. All you...
