Hi guys. I dont know why but my easy4ip won't stay online anymore. I'm using a dahua NVR and it always worked previously. If I restart the NVR it works temporarily then goes back offline. Any idea what could be causing this?

Not registered with imou life. Never heard of it, had to Google to figure out what you were referring to. P2P has never been enabled.

Because your camera has been registered with imou life. The other party can change the camera settings from imou life. Try close p2p and easy4ip.

You dont have to use spectrum routers/modem. You can use your own. Also note that while a router with a built in vpn server is generally the easy way to setup, you can have your vpn run on another device on your network, pc, Pi, etc

Thanks, I haven't had a chance to test it myself yet. That's interesting but at least shows the main stream is through the local network. Odd that it needs some communication outside the network though after it has established a connection.
