New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

I have not found anything that has worked for me yet. I may go ahead and tear into the Reolink chime to see if it’s possible to run a relay off it.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Has anyone found a 3rd-party 915 MHz RF receiver that works with the Reolink WiFi doorbell? My experiment with the 1800Doorbells receiver was a failure.

Yes, that was already discussed and Tony provided the answer that it’s absolutely doable.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

I just installed one of two Reolink Wifi doorbells that I picked up. The picture is much better than the AD110. All in all, it's an improvement, but I would much prefer to be able to use my very old mechanical chime, which the AD110 did allow for. The chime was configured with both doorbells...

    User-friendly NVR and remote viewing?

...+ Hikvision or Dahua oem cameras which meet standards are good. There are other vendors of cameras, however few here have reviewed them .. Reolink .. while they are getting more versions of cameras they still have significant limits on better performance in low light. So for most of us...

    User-friendly NVR and remote viewing?

How much are they willing to pay ? So the general answer from business that sell security camera systems for a one time fee, is to expect limited upgrades. Basically IoT business model .. make a product, sell, and do not spend much developing it further once the units are sold. If you want...

    User-friendly NVR and remote viewing?

...Any improvements in that area? The most recent firmwares are 2 years old now for my system. I'm trying to steer them away from 'lesser' cameras like Reolink, but the NVR & remote friendliness baked into those is hard to overcome. Can we 'have both'? Great cameras and better NVR/remote...

    BlueIris UI3 - frame rate

I'll put down my findings here just in case anyone else comes across this issue. 1) Reolink automatically adjust the codec to H265 for images 8MP or higher 2) BI in the 'stats for nerds' will show the stream as being H264, only VLC actually showed the stream is H265 3) Reducing the image to 4MP...

I have 2 Reolink db's myself....but no Reolink cameras. In the camera. In Blue Iris.

    BlueIris UI3 - frame rate

I already have a Reolink doorbell and I am extremely happy with it, that's why I decided to get another one of the same brand. Oh well. "Insure the Reolink is set for H.264, Frame Interval = 1" - is that in the Reolink camera or on in BI? "You may also have to turn off hardware acceleration " -...

    BlueIris UI3 - frame rate

Unfortunately Reolinks are known to not play well with Blue Iris. LOTS of threads on IPCT about that fact. Insure the Reolink is set for H.264, Frame Interval = 1. You may also have to turn off hardware acceleration

    BlueIris UI3 - frame rate

Not sure if this is a UI3 or server issue. I've replaced one of the cameras from some unbranded 5MP (Ali Express) to Reolink RLC-811A 8MP. The image quality is much better, but I try to play a video on UI3 that was recorded using the new camera there is quite a significant delay until the...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

I heard BI smart alerts don't work well with Reolink cameras. Is that true? The only reason I don't use BI is that because I prefer first party software for hardware like this. But if it can handle the human/vehicle detections and supports PTZ controls I might actually consider it. Also what...

It's fine. My parents hardly ever get packages. They just want to see who's at the door.

It looks good. Are you happy with that or would you prefer a slight down angle? If so, here's a 5° down angle shim for a 3D printer: https://www.printables.com/model/333860-reolink-doorbell-accessories/files#preview:file-DCL7t

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

So I did the swap yesterday, and I think I might be able to exonerate the AD110, because the Reolink camera wouldn't stay on, either, when I first connected it to the doorbell wiring (after having done initial setup via the included wall wart). I put a voltmeter on the wires, and there was no...

HDW3849H-AS-PV vs T5442TM-AS for longer distance

At the very beginning, I used a Reolink E1 5MP camera, later I changed it to a Reolink RLC-1224A. Currently, I have an HDW3849H-AS-PV 3.6mm, but for testing purposes, I borrowed a 3.6mm. The camera is mounted at the ceiling height of the first floor, so the distance is quite large. The...

You are correct there in an ONVIF event when the doorbell is pushed. I'm w/ you guys I'm very happy w/ my Reolink doorbell. By the way who the hell calls tech support anymore, I've set mine and several family members Reolink DB cams w/ no issue. You guys are my tech support anyway :) Michael

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Isn't the doorbell being pushed also an ONVIF event in BI which can give you a push notification? Seems like it's covered both ways.....only thing missing in BI vs Reolink app is the 2-way audio (which could get added later). I'm with Tony, very happy with this doorbell in BI, works great.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

You need the reolink app to receive push notifications and also to use the "talk" function to speak to the person ringing the doorbell. It makes no sense to use blue iris for this type of device unless you wanted a low key camera that records audio with no other features. Personally the...

Recommend a PoE Splitter That Can Output 30W+

If this was a serious installation there would be the appropriate sized power wire in place with the Ethernet cable. There obviously isn’t as such you’re stuck using a band aid solution of a POE Splitter! Nobody serious in the security industry uses these none safety rated / tested...

Recommend a PoE Splitter That Can Output 30W+

That statement sounds somewhat arrogant. Why? I have gotten all of the PoE splitters to work with a Reolink PoE (IEEE 802.3af) camera. Obviously, the Reolink camera is not PoE+ which the DH-SD6C3425GB-HNR-A-PV1 is. TP-Link TL-SG1218MP 18 Port Gigabit Rackmount Switch with 16 PoE+ High Power SFP...

Dahua N3wbie , can’t figure out why IVS events won’t record

...them (and saved) to be sure . I’m wondering how much of my issues is due to the human recognition not hitting on me rather than the tripwires /perimeter. I previously had a Reolink cam in this spot and it did a great job of identifying human targets in an identical setup .. so I’m baffled

ipc 5442 z4e is the cam you need there....now sold under a different part number. A BI machine will not run 70 cameras, for that you'd need 2 BI machines. 50 cam limit per license, Thats what I remember about it last time anybody had a discussion about that...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

I love Ubiquiti Nanostation radios and Unifi AP's and have installed literally dozens of them since 2012 but you could not give me their doorbell. I'll keep my 2 Reolinks, thank you. BTW, I use them with Blue Iris.
