I've not used a PTZ yet, but I've read you can use spotter cams to trigger the motion of a PTZ to focus on a certain area. For this to work do all the cams have to be the same brand? Or could I have a Dahua PTZ with Hikvision spotters? I'm running Blue Iris if it makes any difference.

First: yes you can roll back, i did it today with one nvr that had compatibility issue with one very old Dahua PTZ camera. Other issues might be solved if you do "factory default" reset to this unit and set it up again.
