I visited the UP once for a few days during the late summer. Really weird how sunrise and sunset change things a little further north. Plus, if I remember correctly, they're actually in the Eastern time zone for time purposes but physically in the Central time zone. Makes for some really late...
Remember that a 5442 is a varifocal and not a PTZ. It is not designed to be zoomed in and out all the time. The zoom mechanism is not robust enough for that. I have a few 5442T-ZEs that have been at the same zoom level for a few years.
If the WiFi at the camera isn't "so good" right now what makes you think a camera with built in WiFI, usually the low end of everything, would work in the first place? A device like that TPLink that Matt mentioned is optimized for performance far beyond anything a consumer grade WiFi camera is...
Let's see, pay a fee to charge your EV so you have enough power for it to get from A to B. Along the way, plug back in and discharge into the "grid" you just bought power from to support the grid and kill the range of your EV. What could possibly go wrong here?
I salute you for your service, and my Mom died 20 years ago. That was a rhetorical reference as you undoubtedly know. You may have served but unfortunately didn't learn to differentiate threats properly.
Changing polling time didn't help with any of my remotes, Aeotek, Zooz and no-name. They all rely on being triggered to transmit anything, even battery condition. On top of that, battery devices never act as part of the "mesh" of a ZWave system for that very reason.
And the Amazon guy pulled as far to the LEFT as he could but with a car parked at the curb and still blocking the street. I wonder what would have happened had a LEO, on a call, or a Paramedic vehicle had come down the street on a call. We're not talking about a 53 footer here, it's a lousy...
That first one was definitely a CB antenna that he tried, and failed, to mount. It's usually used by CBers with "footwarmers", linear amplifiers, so the coil can handle the added power.
The Amazon driver, as a simple matter of courtesy, should not have been blocking the entire street. I appreciate the work load of those drivers, but they also need to use a little common sense and courtesy.
What, you actually have guns, those triggering, threatening "weapons of war" what go bang? Heck, you'll start crying when they make that awful, threating, bang and run right back to Mommy's basement to get your woobie and playdough!
It's running very stably. It did have a hiccup on the last interim version update, but a reboot took care of that with no problem. My only "gripe" is the battery powered sensors, and that isn't the fault of HomeSeer. They need to be forced to communicate regularly so you can watch the battery...
At least the driver stopped at the scene. Around here, East Coast, they normally just keep right on going. We've had pedestrians dragged 100's of feet after being hit and the driver still just keeps going and leaves the scene.
I believe the camera IR is triggered by someone ringing the doorbell, pressing the button. Mine gets IR illumination from auxiliary IRs that were already in place.
Without being connected to the internet there is no way to use GDMSS, or whatever they call it, to access the camera. The BI and...
The short answer is to add sub streams to the video configuration page of each camera. That is done by using "find and inspect" then selecting the appropriate sub stream. Yes the sub stream is lower resolution but you can set the sub stream, in the camera to alleviate that for the most part...
If you're using sub streams there is no reason to use hardware acceleration. Since sub stream support was added to Blue Iris hardware acceleration has become a little problematic and can produce bad results. You're better off using sub streams and shutting off all hardware acceleration. Sub...
H265 can be problematic because it divides the frame into large blocks to save bandwidth/disk space. The result can lead to missed motion events.
I run my 5442 cameras at 8192 CBR for a bit rate, a frame rate of 15f/ps and an iframe rate of 15. Blue Iris starts motion detection on a full...
The simple answer is that wireless and security are mutually exclusive terms. At best, even with 5GHz WiFi, you'll have a hard time getting reliable connections to more than four cameras simultaneously. Wired, PoE, security cameras are far superior.
What problems have you had with wired...
How many cameras are running that it would "tax" a gig network switch? I'm running 22, mix of 4MP, 2MP and one 8MP, and only see ~200Mb/PS of traffic on the private LAN. Even if you had 44 4MP cameras running I don't think you'd hit 600Mb/PS.
