Amcrest 5MP PoE Bullet Cam IP5M-B1276EW-AI with synology Surveillance station

They can be on separate switches as long as they are attached to each other...the issue you have here is that the data passes via the router...No way its related to the cams...zero change..its the network setup.

Amcrest 5MP PoE Bullet Cam IP5M-B1276EW-AI with synology Surveillance station

Your problem is not the amcrest cameras. Any camera you would use assuming the same bitrate settings would cause the same problem. This is because you improperly setup the network. Currently all traffic from your cams passes through your router, which is choking on it. Your NAS or NVR should be...

Amcrest 5MP PoE Bullet Cam IP5M-B1276EW-AI with synology Surveillance station

Your lan issue is unrelated to the "incompatibility" with SS. They work fine with SS and you can use any similar dahua model because they are dahua. Even as generic amcrest they are streaming the same way any camera would that has an exact match. Your lan issue is likely related to the way your...

Is there a Blue Iris equivalent for Linux?

You would manually download the update and install it... Blue Iris still runs on Windows 7 and the end of life for Windows 11 years away... Regardless my point is simply about Windows.... I actually do not recommend Blue Iris for you.... Based on your posts I know for certain that regardless of...

Is there a Blue Iris equivalent for Linux?

Be wary of anyone recommending xeoma. They cheat by offering free licenses for positive reviews... your comparison of two very different pc's indicates you dont know much about hardware. One is a 12th gen nuc and the other is an old 4th gen outdated POS being sold by a crook its street value is 0.

Replace current PC with SFF PC

Are you able to access the pc itself locally while this is happening? if so it might be a network card driver (uninstall) and reinstall) or the port itself (a cheap 10 dollar card could resolve it). If everything freezes, A quick reinstall of windows is all you might need. Make sure to use the...

Replace current PC with SFF PC

Yeah, the prices fluctuate...you will find one for less If you need something now, better just buy an 8th gen i5-8500 for 120 or less...there is a negligible performance gain going to the 9th gen you posted...225 is just too much for a 5 year old pc... Then in a few years pick up something else...

PoE camera over 4 conductor cable

Cat cable is not simply an 8 conductor cable, its pairs are twisted in a way to minimize crosstalk. Certainly 4 conductor cable is sufficient for the doorbell which is 10/100 and not gigabit (your splitter is working this way). Certainly you can try. What type of cable is currently installed...

Dont switch to that setting...update manually when you can confirm everything is working properly. There is a 100% chance you had issues before, critical issues where video was missed (not to mention no video is recorded during the update process) you just havent noticed it.

Why are there so many updates?

The constant updates are the best part of blue iris. It is the epitome of practical. If there is a new feature a user wants and he implements it, it is ready to go. Why wait? He is adding features without waiting months for testing. YOU are in control. YOU chose when to update. That is why...

    Test camera recommendations?

You should be using a dedicated machine for Blue Iris not using it for your daily tasks.... My point is the power consumption is going to outweigh any slight savings... You can buy the full I-5 system as well for about $300
