    IPC-T54IR-ZE-S zoom setting question.

I mean the ONVIF username and password in camera GUI. In the camera GUI go to System-->Account-->ONVIF User

    IPC-T54IR-ZE-S zoom setting question.

And if you changed the username and password after the initial configuration you need to confirm the ONVIF username and password also changed. If the ONVIF username and password is incorrect BI won't be able to pull any of the info from the camera.

BlueIris decides to delete all of my videos (5.8.0.7, PSA)?

Blue Iris is great because of how granular and customizable it is. It's great for someone like me who uses it in their home and like to mess around with it. In my opinion, specifically because of the current state of the database, BI does not belong in a commercial environment where the...

Upgrading Alarm/Security System - Seeking Opinions

How far away from the motion detector is the couch? I have the honeywell Dual Tech 100lb motions and if I remember correctly they couch has to be at least 6 feet away from the motion to maintain pet immunity. We'll have to look at the Bosch manual. If the dog is going to grow to 40 to 45lbs I...

Upgrading Alarm/Security System - Seeking Opinions

If you want free self-monitoring you're going to have to stick with either the DSC PC1864 series or the Honeywell Vista 20p. The DSC Neo series has an encrypted keypad bus so you won't be able to use the envisalink with it. The Envisalink 4 is the way to go for internet based self-monitoring...

    IPC-T54IR-ZE-S zoom setting question.

Is that the S3 model? I had a similar issue with BI. I had turn off "login verification" located in Network Settings --> Platform Access --> ONVIF. Once disabled BI was able to pull all of the information from the camera.

Which Router to buy in 2023? UPDATE went with OPNsense on a firewall box.

I've been using pfSense CE for about a year and a half now. I'll never go back to any consumer router as long as I have control over it. Going from a subpar consumer router like Asus, Netgear, Amazon etc. to pfSense is like going from a Ring door bell to Andy's Color 4K cameras. I like the...

Review- EmpireTech IPC-B54IR-ASE 4MP IR Fixed-Focal Bullet IP Camera

The quality will definitely be degraded. Most of us on this forum run our cameras on an isolated LAN via a second NIC that does not touch our main LAN or have any internet access. Running the cameras at 8192 will not "jam" the network. I have plenty of cameras running 8192 and higher bitrate and...

BlueIris decides to delete all of my videos (5.8.0.7, PSA)?

It’s been pretty good lately (besides the version people are having issues with) but I remember last year there were a couple versons where I’d get Add to BI DB errors more than once on different installs.

365 days of saved video/ audio help

it’s licensed per camera. It’s about $85 to $90 per license depending on where you buy it from and how many licenses you buy. Another option I thought of is you could keep your current system in place, and add the DW system separately. So you add 5 new cameras to the locations that are required...

365 days of saved video/ audio help

Honestly, based on everything I've read in this thread, I don't think BI is your best choice. BI needs database maintenance. While you're doing the maintenance (ether automatically or manually) recording is paused. This could be a violation of that law. As discussed in other threads BI's...

BlueIris decides to delete all of my videos (5.8.0.7, PSA)?

Sorry, I misunderstood your post then lol. There where a couple of times where the database errors did not stop the recordings and were just annoying. But I'd say the majority of the times I've had database errors all the recordings were halted until I fixed the issue and I had no footage...

BlueIris decides to delete all of my videos (5.8.0.7, PSA)?

@wittaj I respect you and all I appreciate all of the content you've created and posted as I've used it to fine tune my cameras. With that being said, I feel that comment is pretty dumb and you're blindly supporting BI. If your smoke detectors were known to malfunction, is that okay as long as...

BlueIris decides to delete all of my videos (5.8.0.7, PSA)?

Sorry, I should've explained that better. I'm aware its forever. I've been using BI since 2015. What I mean by the comment is that VMS solutions that are in the same or similar class as Digital Watchdog require yearly renewal and/or upgrade fees. When you purchase Digital Watchdog, you own it...

BlueIris decides to delete all of my videos (5.8.0.7, PSA)?

BI's fragile database is my only real complaint about the software. I can only hope BI 6 (assuming that's what it'll be called) would incorporate a new modern database that doesn't need to pause recordings to do maintenance. And a client application would be nice too. I've considered switching...

Those are the vari-focal ones. It could also be out of focus. Clicking on auto focus should bring it back into focus if you accidentally knocked it out when you moved it.

That image looks like it was taken from a substream. It's also reporting the bitrate at 66KB/s which is way too low. I'm surprised the image even looks that good at 66KB/s. What app did you use to view that image? What are your mainstream and substream settings?

Dahua IPC-T5442TM-AS random "no signal" in Blue Iris

What are the specs of the computer you're running Blue Iris on? CPU, RAM, Boot Drive, Storage Drives, Motherboard, RAM? Are you using the onboard NIC? Do you have a second NIC just for the cameras? Are the cameras on an isolated LAN or are they going through your route? How are they configured...

IPC-Color4K-T180 Intermittent 'No Signal' in BI

I emailed BI support a couple of days ago and I received a response today. My Original Email To BI "Good evening, The ipcamtalk community and I are having issues with the IPC-Color4K-T180 working properly with Blue Iris. Multiple times each day, probably more than 10, I get emails indicating...

Is this a good cable for an outdoor covert camera installation?

I could be wrong but from my understanding it’s only supposed to be grounded on one end. The surge suppressor I listed has a grounding terminal for a ground wire and can also be installed outdoors if need be.

Is this a good cable for an outdoor covert camera installation?

I agree with the above post. I would still use the shielded direct burial wire in the ground. I use True cable as I really like their wire, connectors and tools. All of their wire is genuine pure copper ethernet (not CCA garbage). Outdoor Ethernet Cables | Outdoor-Rated Cables | trueCABLE I've...

    Burglary?

That's normal for Amazon to deliver at that time. I'm going to say with 99.9% certainty that he did not have any bad intentions. When you checkout with Amazon the overnight delivery was probably one of the options. I've received overnight deliveries from Amazon at 4am. What cameras are you...

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

Did you factory default before or after Synology automatically changed all the settings in the camera? I'm thinking maybe Synology might've corrupted some of the settings. Unless you have a defective camera, the heat shouldn't have anything to do with it. I've had these outdoors for over a year...

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

Make sure you have "auto restart" disabled. Go to System-->Manager-->Maintenance and confirm "Auto Restart" is turned off. If that's not the issue, I would turn off that feature in Synology if possible. Then I would factory default the 4K-T and added it back. The issue we've been having with...

IPC-Color4K-T180 Intermittent 'No Signal' in BI

I configured DW to continuous recording on my T180. I've had multiple no signal errors from BI since then. I reviewed the recording from Digital Watchdog 30 seconds prior and 30 seconds after I get the no signal error on BI. The recording from DW is smooth and has no indication of any packet...

IPC-Color4K-T180 Intermittent 'No Signal' in BI

Digital Watchdog is very sensitive to packet loss. It has a notification setting for "Network Issues" and a separate one for "Camera Disconnected". Usually a very small amount of packet loss will trigger the "Network Issues" alert on Digital Watchdog and I will get an email. I'll set Digital...

IPC-Color4K-T180 Intermittent 'No Signal' in BI

I run my 4K T180 at H264 both main and substream, Bit rate of 10240 CBR, 15 FPS and 15 I Frame. Substream is the same except resolution and Bit Rate of 512. I also run my 4K-T and 4K-X with the same settings. Right before I commented on this post, I updated the firmware on all of my 4k-T's and...

IPC-Color4K-T180 Intermittent 'No Signal' in BI

@SOB Any updates on the no signal issue? I'm having a similar issue with my Color4K-T180. I have 12 cameras total, two of them are the Color 4K-X, three Color 4K-T, one Color 4K-T180 and the rest are the 5442 series. I get no signal errors approximatively 5 to 10 times each day at random times...

Blue Iris app + business related + I'm not to sure

I've never had any issues with BI and Dahua general firmware. The Dahua general firmware works just fine with DW spectrum, the only issues is the Dahua analytical plugin won't activate with it. Which means no AI alerts. Digital Watchdog is no where near as configurable as BI and you can't change...
