Supermicro Managed POE+ Switch - Anyone Familiar?

I was expecting to pay $500+ for a 24 port switch, but could not find any reputable options on Amazon. Everything was sold out - Netgear, TP-Link, Trendnet... I looked for a bunch of them. When I found this one which is said to be "tested and certified," it seemed like a great deal. The specs...

Supermicro Managed POE+ Switch - Anyone Familiar?

I've been cooking along with an unmanaged Netgear 16 port POE+ switch for some time. Originally had an off-brand BV Tech switch before moving to the Netgear. Now that I've had the opportunity to digest some of the massive amount of information here, I've become more aware of options and...

EZVIZ Releasing New Doorbells DB2 and DB2 Pro

Have you looked at Amcrest's AD410? There are a few recent threads which mention it, and that's what I am using. I started with a SkyBell, then went to an Amcrest AD110 for integration with Blue Iris, and now to AD410. I think someone from here is also in the UK running the AD410. IHTH

    Insurance Fraud Outside My Home

Just one example of what fenderman states above, and the interesting thing is how the MMD downplays the legitimate and lawful use of firearms, in this case catching a cop killer. Quick synopsis: Felon released from prison in December after serving time for child molestation. This week police...

EZVIZ Releasing New Doorbells DB2 and DB2 Pro

I'd prefer that as well. In my case, I was replacing an existing doorbell with little room for running a new cable. If I had made the choice to run a cable, I'd have insisted on buying a POE camera and that would have led me away from the existing crop of 'doorbell' cameras available ATM.

EZVIZ Releasing New Doorbells DB2 and DB2 Pro

For a doorbell camera, I wouldn't expect POE, but I would (and do) expect (demand) wired power connection from the doorbell transformer. It's bad enough to have to rely on WiFi for the video stream. Reliance on battery power makes it a non-starter, for me anyway.

Amcrest AD410 Doorbell - NOT compatible

Are you using the digital chime with your AD110? I was using the mechanical chime with the AD110 and made no change when installing the AD410, and it continues to work just fine.

Review - Dahua SD49225XA-HNR 2MP 25x Starlight + IR PTZ AI Camera with Deep IVS & SMD Plus

This topic started as a review of the SD49225XA-HNR and brought to light many aspects and issues. The one thing which has become pretty confusing to me (at least) is which firmware is the very latest AND also supports Auto-Tracking. As you continue testing these FWs for Dahua, can you please...

Thanks for sharing your experience. I hope Amcrest can help you sort out the issue. Allow me to state, for the record, I do have the AD410 working in Blue Iris (with Audio stream) and the physical chime on my doorbell also works. If you post more about your configuration, I am happy to...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

It's been a tough day. And I still only see one of that screenshot, so I am definitely OFF. While posting to my neighbors about a group of teen hooligans throwing eggs at homes and vehicles, my "Alley Cam" alerted me to some intruders. Went back to 'encourage' them to leave, and ended up having...

OpenALPR (Rekor Scout) compared to Platerecognizer

While I agree with you and I too would be interested in being able to flag more known criminal types, for a growing company with national/international aspirations, closer alignment to law enforcement with a surveillance tool such as OpenALPR would be a legal nightmare. The ACLU is already...

    Murphy's Law in Action

No, definitely NOT default. You taught me well on that ... lol Yes, Smart IR is "On". The IR setup gets a little tricky. I have 2 cameras which can 'see' each other in the corner of their FOV and both have their IR Illuminators set to Max on both Near and Far. Separately there is an IR...

    Murphy's Law in Action

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Yes, it is possible to change the IP address to a static one that will work with Blue Iris. HOWEVER --- in doing so, you will lose the ability to connect to the doorbell with the phone app. If you are OK with that, then simply use the Config Tool app mentioned upthread to change the IP address...

    Hell Yeah! Direct Deepstack Integration - 5.4.0 - March 31, 2021

Mine is an i9-9900k and it is running at 35% +/- 3%. Earlier I said it was 20%, but that is what Blue Iris shows as CPU usage. Task Manager shows the higher load percent. In terms of apps, the APLR background process is using a pretty constant 12% of the CPU and Blue Iris uses a similarly...

    Hell Yeah! Direct Deepstack Integration - 5.4.0 - March 31, 2021

That seems consistent with what I am seeing as well, except that my CPU isn't spiking much, or at all. The CPU is clearly running at a higher load with Rekor running on the GPU than when it ran on the CPU alone. Overall though, with OpenALPR and Deepstack running on the GPU, my system is far...

Deepstack Detecting Cats as People (70%+ Confidence)

You're right, that could be done (zones at different ranges with appropriate Min Size boxes). I have a hunch it may be due to you running both OpenALPR and DeepStack on the GPU. When you view the applications running on your GPU, do you see both alprd.exe and blueiris.exe, or just one of them? My system currently shows only alprd.exe, even though I am also running the DS GPU app, and...

Easy to do if you do not care about using the Amcrest phone app and only monitor through Blue Iris. One more comment. I have to say the AD410 is a vast improvement over the AD110. My first doorbell camera was a Skybell. Wanting integration with Blue Iris, I went to the Amcrest AD110, and now to the Amcrest AD410. Without going through the list of upgraded performance features, the one I like...
