    SD22204UE-GN DH_SD-Eos-Civil_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.810.0000000.4.R.200509

@EMPIRETECANDY, I might have the same issue that @biggen mentioned. I've had it with all of the firmware versions. After a reboot, the camera goes too high on all presets until I manually PTZ it down. After being pointed down, it will then hit all of the presets just fine until the next...

    camera show pink view

The IR filter is a piece inside the camera that physically moves when the camera switches between color/BW mode. Manually trying to switch between color/BW mode a few times can sometimes cause it to unstick. Sometimes tapping on the camera as you switch modes helps too.

AFAIK, only the Active Deterrence models have that option built-in to the camera.

    Need camera recommendations, 2nd story

I'd look at the new 5442 models from Dahua. Bigger 4MP 1/1.8" image sensor should do a lot better in low-light, but honestly it looks as if your Q-See cameras don't have IR turned on in the shots above? https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/review-oem-4mp-ai-cam-ipc-t5442tm-as-starlight.39203/

    recommend brand and model

The 5442 turret has a "-LED" model that's billed as "Full Color" because it has two LEDs that emit enough light to guarantee that the camera stays in color mode when it's dark out. I don't care for this model -- to me, the LEDs are reallllly bright and it makes the camera look like a flood...

    Unwanted IVS Alerts

To follow up to @pc750’s thought, If you’re using Dahua stuff to record, you should be able to play back the recording in SmartPSS somehow with the option enabled to view the rules so you can see what the camera is seeing when it triggers. I use BI now so I don’t remember exactly how to do...

    recommend brand and model

The two models below use image sensors that are pretty much the best bang for the buck when it comes to low-light performance. It’s rare to find other manufactures using these sensors. IMO the 5442 turrets are great where you have an area that works well with one of the fixed lens options...

    Review-OEM 4mp AI Cam IPC-T5442TM-AS Starlight+

I've replaced two of my 5231s with them and am happy, even using h.264/VBR at the camera suggested bit rate. If they came out with a varifocal turret model, I would be replacing the rest of my 5231s...

BI settings on a new IPC-T2431T-AS

I think most folks here simply type their camera admin username/password into BI, click the Find/Inspect button, and let BI do all of the configuration. This usually ends with the model being set to Generic/ONVIF but the "specifics" being properly configured within BI.

    Hospital Uses Nest Cameras

One article said the hospital worked directly with Google for this implementation, and another said the cameras streamed directly to a console in the hospital, so I'm guessing there's a chance it doesn't stream to the cloud. I'm also guessing that since it's an official press release on the...

    Dauhua OEM vs non OEM

I would say that the vast majority of folks here use the OEM version of Dahua equipment and the only difference noted is that there is no Dahua logo on the OEM version... not on the camera, in the firmware, or on the box/instructions. Sometimes the OEM versions will have slightly different...

If you properly lock down you nvr/computer - how do you get notifications?

Just wanted to call out for anyone new following along with this thread, it's only the PoE version of NVRs (like the model the OP has above) that put the cameras on a different network segment.

Night Vision Comparsion (Video and Picture) on 8 Popular Dahua IP Cameras V2.0

@EMPIRETECANDY sells the international OEM version on Amazon under his Loryta brand. You can also PM him on the forum here and he can send you an invoice you can use PayPal to pay with. He also often has ways of getting stuff to you even if the Amazon store is sold out...

    IPC-HDW5442TM-AS-LED - Worth it?

Hmmm, my 5442TM-AS-LED has had the person/vehicle filter feature I got it last summer. The 5442 has a bigger image sensor... 4MP 1/1.8" vs 4MP 1/2.7" ... which is reflected in its better minimum illumination spec (0.002 lux) vs the 3341's 0.005 lux. However, the 3441 is a traditional IR...

Night Vision Comparsion on 8 Popular Dahua IP Cameras

IMO, what usually helps the most when trying to identify something is the quality of the image in each frame, not the quantity of frames. FPS controls the quantity of frames. Exposure settings influence the image quality in each frame. Specifically, shutter speed plays a big role when it...

    Please recommend a DVR

That's something that wasn't configurable in the past. If it's not something in the new firmware (I haven't seen anyone mention it), one work-around is to setup a server-side email rule that automatically deletes the "motion ended" email.

H265 bitrate issue with IPC-T5442TM-AS - lower than expected

I thought that with VBR, the camera uses a lower bit rate when there isn’t much activity in the scene and then automatically scales it up as activity increases. So if you have the camera pointed at a scene with not much going on

    Mislabeled? Or bad documentation?? (N45DM62)

For min lux ratings, Dahua used to list two color specs: 1/3s shutter and 1/30s shutter. Folks on here always discussed the 1/30s rating because like you said, 1/3s is kinda useless for most folks. They usually correlated though... if a camera had a better-than-average 1/30s color lux rating...

Ubiquiti UniFi Protect G4 Doorbell Coming Soon

Do you know if it can be initialized and have RTSP enabled on a network that doesn't having Unifi Protect? I have the original CloudKey and it's working great. AFAIK the only way to get Unifi Protect would be to buy the newer CloudKey which I don't have a need for.

Review - OEM IPC-B5442E-ZE 4MP AI Varifocal Bullet Camera With Starlight+

What's going to be interesting with the 2831s is that most of the threads are referencing the original models which are now EOL. There are newer 2831 models ("S2"), but they have a different image sensor (smaller 1/2.7" vs the bigger 1/1.8") and a different min. illumination spec. Hopefully...

    Dahua IPC-L26N Floodlight camera

That's unfortunately normal, at least for Dahua International models that are targeted towards consumers (like the A46). The A46 initially shipped with a web ui, but it was removed in subsequent firmware updates. :(
