    Try changing the port... I see strange behavior any time my machine is rebooted I must change the port and then of course the pprt forward. Then it works again.

    Is your tv decoding h264? I have only tried one of mine tvs, but that one only does jpegs so it is super low framerate. Not ideal, but you can tell when the pizza has arrived!!

    Just a quick me too here. I have a 4th gen haswell i5 and BI always says very high cpu usage except for at night while most of the cams are black. Windows however says high teens low 20% cpu used. Strange.

    I have a cam and wifi access point on the other end of a powerline adapter. Works fine for me. Not saying it will in every case, but the technology does work.

    It isn't that hard to change your ip address on your PC. Then just change the cam IP and change pc back and you are done.

    Are the dimensions you give in the first post accurate? If this is stable in blue iris with this firmware I may grab one of these. Of course it needs to fit where my current doorbell button is.

    Hopefully the rebooting issue is something that can be quickly fixed with a firmware update. Seems ok except for that issue. You said you are powering via a doorbell transformer, but don't have a doorbell right? Perhaps an issue with that? Not likely, but... Do you have a DC source to test with...

    Interesting... I always thought dahua was nicer than hikvision and had a nicer cleaner font. You can change the size as I recall. If you use blue iris it can overlay things too.

    I asked about that somewhere, but never got an answer other than to buy the model with no IR. I too wondered if the half of it that is black would come off so you could paint it after removing the dome.

    Does flashing this new firmware keep you from downgrading if you don't like it? I can't recall off the top of my head which camera I was avoiding upgrading because the newer firmware had issues. Just want to make sure I don't fix something that doesn't need fixing!

    Too lazy to research, need starlight cam advice

    Have you added the camera to BI? On the config page there is no address... Add the address and username and password and hit inspect. This is what I did (thanks to looney2ns for the tip) with my dahua ptz and it works. Different model, but I'd expect it to work. Maybe someone who has this cam...
