    Acceptable CPU Usage?

    Who was this for?

    Acceptable CPU Usage?

Yes, the Dell T30 I have is doing the same thing. Starts at around 30 - 40% with my 9 cameras, stays that way for a few hours, and then climbs and stays in the 80-90% range, sometimes hitting 99-100%. If I restart the BI service, it is back to the 30-40% cpu utilization. Very odd. This is...

    Acceptable CPU Usage?

That is what is strange, there could be high CPU usage when nothing is going on, no movement, nothing. And other times my dogs could be setting off half of the cameras running around the house, outside, etc., and the CPU doesn't budge past 50%. Just so strange.

    Acceptable CPU Usage?

After checking on it throughout the day, the system was at some point in the upper 90%s, then sometimes it would be in the 50%s, and then sometimes in the 60%s, and then the 80%s, etc. Either my BI configuration is all messed up or there is some issue with the system.

    Acceptable CPU Usage?

Strangely, without me doing anything other than just watching the Task Manager, the CPU usage dropped all the way down to approx mid 30%s to 40%. This is so weird.

    Acceptable CPU Usage?

I had just added additional details that didn't provide any useful data :) My T30 right now is hovering around 85 - 90% CPU. And I didn't do anything from this morning, just let it run. Maybe the system just doesn't do well, or maybe I have a dud. It was in the 50 - 60% range this morning...

    Acceptable CPU Usage?

Hi All, I wanted to get some comments on if I can do any additional tweaking to get the best out of my setup. I just setup a new BI server using one of the Dell T30 Xeon 1225v5 servers I got during the $299 deal. I am using Windows 10 Pro 64bit, 8GB of memory, recording to a 7200 HD, and...

R6 Camera upgraded to 5.5, now ONVIF problems

I am glad you were able to get it working! I didn't even think about the POE aspect, as I used a dumb switch and the 12v power. (After it was all done, I plugged it back into my POE.) Awesome that you got it working. Did it use the 192.168.1.128/64 IPS or the 192.0.0.x IPs?

R6 Camera upgraded to 5.5, now ONVIF problems

Hmm, and did you turn off your firewall or make sure the tftp executable was authorized within the firewall to receive packets? It shouldn't matter at this point though since your are just monitoring the traffic . Can you save the output and post it for us too look at?

R6 Camera upgraded to 5.5, now ONVIF problems

First question, is it just the computer and the camera plugged into the switch, and the adapter on the computer is set to 192.168.1.128? When you started wireshark, did you select the adapter that has the 192.168.1.128 IP address assigned? I attached a picture of the first wireshark I did...

R6 Camera upgraded to 5.5, now ONVIF problems

Ahh, I gotcha, sounds good. The wireshark application is pretty easy. I had it installed on my laptop, and used a USB Ethernet dongle that I manually set to 192.168.1.128. I then connect it and the camera to a spare switch I had and made sure nothing else was connected. (This ins't necessary...

Hikvision 5.5.0 not sending PIR/Motion alarms to BI?

Figured I would let everybody know what I have learned. I suspected there was something weird with 5.5.0 and my camera (possibly any of the R6's, but I can't say since I only have a 2CD2442FWD) and sending alarm outs to BI via motion detection and PIR. I was able to re-flash the camera with...

R6 Camera upgraded to 5.5, now ONVIF problems

Ok, one additional update. I was able to successfully reload/re-flash a freshly downloaded R6 5.4.5 on top of the "fake" 5.4.5 without issues in both the browser, and in the IVMS4200 client. (I know that the "fake" 5.4.5 was real with just a modified header to make the camera think it was...

R6 Camera upgraded to 5.5, now ONVIF problems

Oh, one other thing, my camera did not reboot itself after the process was indicated as being complete. I unplugged the camera and powered it back on. I read in another thread that this happened to them as well. (even though the instructions indicate it will reboot itself.)

R6 Camera upgraded to 5.5, now ONVIF problems

Just for fun, and in reality more of a verification, I am going to try and do a fresh "real" 5.4.5 firmware install on top of the "fake" 5.4.5 firmware via the browser. I would do it via the IVMS4200 client, but because I forgot to disable the camera from BI, I had too many failed attempts from...

R6 Camera upgraded to 5.5, now ONVIF problems

It seems like it worked. Sorry it took me a little bit to get back too you, as I was trying to access the camera via the 192.168.1.64 address as I thought it would use that after the flash. But, it kept the dhcp setting I had before, and it was using the same IP it was using when I had 5.5.0...

R6 Camera upgraded to 5.5, now ONVIF problems

Ok, so I did a wireshark of my adapter, and the camera was looking for 192.168.1.128 IP not 192.0.0.128. I change my adapter to 192.168.1.128 and booted up the camera. It started the tftp process. I will have to check that it works 100%, but the tftp part happened.

R6 Camera upgraded to 5.5, now ONVIF problems

I am running into the same issue, though I know the camera is setting up the 192.0.0.64 IP during boot, as I can ping it from my windows 10 machine that has the tftp server running on it. You can test it by going through the normal process, and then open a command prompt and type ping...

Hikvision 5.5.0 not sending PIR/Motion alarms to BI?

I have been trying to get Blue Iris to trigger a recording from my 4MP Hikvision cube camera, but no matter what I do, it wont work. On the 2MP Hikvision cube camera I have, I am able to get everything working fine within BI. The main difference between the two is that the 4MP Cube came...

ANNKE 2MB Cube vs Hykamic 4MB Cube

It is my office, I swear! :) Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a way to adjust the focus on these, but I agree, it does appear just a tad bit out of focus on the right side.

ANNKE 2MB Cube vs Hykamic 4MB Cube

Thanks for the reply. I don't know what I was thinking when I put in MB vs MP!!! I fixed it. I have both cameras setup in my office to compare the quality. I tried kept the image settings pretty much the same between them, and had WDR turned off. To me the color and quality of the 4MP is...

ANNKE 2MB Cube vs Hykamic 4MB Cube

I am trying to decide between these 2 hikvision camera's. I have one of each for testing, with the 4MP being a 2.8mm lens and the 2MP being a 4mm lens. The 4mm works for most of the indoor scenarios I am looking to do, except for 1, were the 2.8mm works best. That being said, I need a total...

Anybody flash a Dahua firmware onto an Amcrest camera?

Hi All, I primarly have Dahua camera's, and I got myself an Amcrest IP2M-844E model which looks very similar to the IPC-HDW1220S that I have. The specs line up exactly. Has anybody flashed a Dahua firmware onto an Amcrest camera before, when it appears that they are the same? (just with...

Firmware for newer dahua cams as well as detailed specs available here

Hi @Ubaid-Dahua I am trying to find the firmware for the IPC-HDW1220S, but the previous version of the camera. The previous version utilized a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor (can't find it on dahua website anymore, but here is the camera on aliexpress (DAHUA IP Camera IPC HDW1220S 2MP Full HD Network...
