    Penny for your thoughts...

I just got word that it was raining/snowing/icing mixed during that time. Has to be weather related. Its just unfortunate that the incident in question had ZERO to to do with the weather just coincidence that it occurred the only time out of 3 months of playback.

    Penny for your thoughts...

I really thought fog also. But unless it was only in that specific spot... Condensation I don't think would clear up that good that fast when the conditions were the same. Issue began prior to truck getting there and no exhaust fans near it. I'm going to have someone climb up to check out for...

    Penny for your thoughts...

I had a situation last night where we needed to pull footage from one of our locations due to an accident on site. When I got to the time needed, it was absolutely worthless footage but going back on every single night on the recording, I haven't seen this issue as a repeated one. Here are some...

@VorlonFrog Do you have one of those? Was wondering how those would work for storage for a Plex Server for my parents. I use a NAS but don't want to invest that kind of money for them since they aren't that big into media.

    HIK CAMERA AND NVR

Plug the camera into your network. Change the IP address of your laptop to 192.168.1.1 Open Internet Explorer (gross, i know) Type 192.168.1.64 into the address bar Does that bring up the camera? If you're network is already on the same subnet as your router, there could be an IP conflict with...

    Suggestions welcome....

First, off... this is a project I've adopted from a retired co-worker and today is my first day dealing with this issue. I have several locations that have probes. These probes go into truck trailers that have grain in them. The operator is in a building within feet of the probe. Right now...

    IP cameras + Analog

I was able to add Hikvision cams to BI after writing this. Can you link me to a recommended converter? I think the price may not really be worth the trouble to do that. The end user can use two different programs to view IP vs Analog if it comes to that. Has anyone heard of Rugged CCTV brand...

    IP cameras + Analog

I have several locations that still run "Rugged CCTV" brand analog cameras and then several locations that have HikVision IP cameras. All locations are connected locally so I am not trying to access through internet but I am tasked with getting all of the analog locations and a few hikvision...

    Wireless Cameras?

Right, by wireless I meant the network connectivity part. I will likely see what I have to do to get an Ethernet cable ran to each spot but it's a pretty isolated area. Dahua's don't work with iVMS though, correct? I need to display these cameras through iVMS

    Wireless Cameras?

Replacing an install that has all analog cameras on it right now with Hikvision IP cams. Two of the cameras right now are placed outside with wireless connection. What is recommended for a wireless camera from Hikvision or another brand that works with iVMS-4500? This camera does not need to...

    Company integrity?

Has anyone ordered anything (inquiring about HikVision) from a company called Hinovision Solutions? Also known as Linovision.com? They claim to have an office in Carrolton Tx. If you've heard of them or worked with them, what was your experience?

How to force ui to start when windows boots?

I was able to get this to work by writing a simple script and adding that batch file to the startup folder. It opens BI to full screen on windows bootup. Everything else I tried would only open the service and not the UI.

    Adding more cameras per Channel

Does anyone know if the 8 channel Hikvision NVR's allow more than 8 cameras? What about the 4 Channel more than 4 via POE switch? Does it solely depend on the firmware version?

    16 CH NVR

I have a location that needs 10 cameras (going with the Hikvision DS-2CD2043G0-I 2.8mm bullets). Looking to use a 16 CH NVR in case we need to add a few more in the future. Any recommendations on which model to get? Would like to stay within a tight budget.

    64 Channel help

What’s the max amount of cameras I can put on the 9600 series NVR? I took over a project from a guy that retired last week and we had upwards of 105 at one time but divided the locations off and now have to add more to the original NVR.

    HELP!

SADP Tools is some tool from Hikvision that locates cameras within a network. Apparently that was/is needed for the linux iVMS to work. But the version I need is no longer found anywhere on the interwebs... =\

Is there anyway to view Hikvision NVR on a linux machine? I've tried Ubuntu with iVMS 4200 but there is one tool i can't find anywhere and that's the working version of SADPTool_V3.0.0.10 . I can find a newer version of SADP Tools but it doesn't work with Linux.
