    Where are my alerts?

    I get my alerts in BI. It shows in the column on the left of BI. But when I go to my folder in BI, the alert folder, there are no alerts anymore. There has not been a new alert in the folder for over 5 days. What did I do to screw it up?

    I found my problem. It was the Microsoft Defender Firewall. It was blocking access to it. I turned off the Defender Firewall and it now works. Bad idea? Well, I turned it back on allowed an app through the firewall. I then added BI to the private network. It now works.

    I may have to put CodeProject back on. I am getting a lot of false alerts that I have never gotten before. Little bugs, my flickering lanterns, a flash of light. Unless there is something I can do at the camera GUI I don't know.

    I have a bunch of several year old cameras though too. Not the new gui or the S3. I seem to be having an issue with those working properly and sending notifications or even getting alerts. I'll have to mess around some and figure out what I'm doing wrong.

    Also, by going to the alert tab, and checking the minimum time since actions to a higher number, will that make the alerts happen less often? I'm trying to get the alerts to happen with less frequency.

    Yes, I did that. I'm now talking about in the camera itself. Don't I have to just go into IVS, setup the tripwire the way I want it, and then hit apply?

    There is a box under Motion Sensor that says ONVIF/Camera events. I need to check that too? Okay.

    Okay, I must have done something wrong. I used tripwire in the cameras in the IVS. I went into BI and turned off motion sensor. Now, nothing is alerting. I went into video and checked the box Get ONVIF trigger events. Should I not have turned off motion sensor?

    I'm not too worried about animals I guess, but what else is there other than people and vehicles? Aliens? :) So, would I even need the motion sensor box checked? Or do I need to at least keep that checking in BI? Thanks for always willing to be of help.

    Well, after hours of contemplating what I had done wrong, numerous hours of grueling defeat, days, then months (not really) of not knowing what the issue was that was causing this world-changing event, I used my brain for once and restarted the computer. Problem fixed. :smash::lol::rofl:

    Out of whack, how? The time on the PC is correct. The time on the cameras is correct. The time is only wrong when viewed in BI.
