Meth head tries to rob my car and home.

Do you have to have the app connected to the BI instance all the time, either through VPN or Port forwarding? As for HIKVision NVRs you do need that connectivity.

Meth head tries to rob my car and home.

I'd be interested to know as for HIKVision I believe the App has to be in contact at all times.

    Dyn vs NoIP?

I used NO-IP for a few years before getting a static IP and you do need to confirm it every 30 days. Even if you miss it and it 'expires' you still have a grace period to re-enable it before it get's blown away forever.

Wireless LCD Monitor for IP Camera - Recommendations?

I think a cheap tablet mounted in some sort of frame would be best for this. I believe that user @nayr has done this already.

    increasing camera number in NVR

Hi, You are limited to the number of Channels that the NVR supports, so your 16 Channel NVR can only support 16 Cameras. These can be a mix if LAN and POE Port (if you have them on the NVR) connected cameras, but you can still only have 16. Paul

Assistance adding a new Hik camera on my 7604

Does your NVR have built in POE ports or are you connecting the cameras through the LAN? If it has POE ports then you can try factory resetting the camera before you return the cameras. I had a similar issue with a Chinese camera with my NVR, but once I factory reset it, it just popped up...

iVMS-4200 Doesn't See My Old or New Hikvision Cameras

You're saying you're NVR is not connected to your network? If it's just the NVR and camera connected to the POE ports then you'll not be able to connect to it via a browser or the mobile apps. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

iVMS-4200 Doesn't See My Old or New Hikvision Cameras

I had a similar issue when I bought an NVR and two cameras. One was a All Region model and connected using plug and play, the other one was a chinese import and would not connect. All I did was reset the camera using the button inside and then it just connected via plug and play. Not sure if...

Hikvision NVR with more cameras than channels

Hi, You can only connect as many cameras as you have Channels. Don't scrimp on the NVR as you'll kick yourself when you want to add the fifth camera.. Or in my case the Ninth.. :) Paul

    Hikvision NVR

Hi, I understood that, I just wanted to check you were not trying to set the Internal NIC subnet to the same as the LAN one. I'm pretty sure that would not work. Many Thanks,

    Hikvision NVR

Normally you'd plug the POE Cameras directly into the NVR ports and either they would auto connect or you would have had to set the IP in the camera previously? What are you trying to set it to and what's the reason behind it? Just checking, what's the LAN IP set to?

    Question on running wire outside

I guess it depends of where the cable comes out of the house etc. Personally I've gone for just the single cable, but it does come out of the house two stories up, so it'd be a ball ache to use a junction box that high.

Issue getting stream for HQCAM mini camera

I've bought one of these cameras for AE and have it up and running with my HIKVision NVR. The only issue is when I switch to the live view it takes up to 20 seconds for it to burst into life. What I am trying to do is set this up with tinyCam Pro for viewing on TV/Phone/Watch, but I cannot get...

Partners parking mistaken for art by NVR

Well, not really. But today my partner parked the car outside the house like normal and the NVR went nuts. It started sending a Email notification every 15 to 60 seconds by the Face Detection being triggered. This went on for a while until I moved the car slightly. Picture of the car with a...

what program to use for android tv to view live stream

On my Amazon Fire TV I'm using IP Cam Viewer Free for now, which connects directly to my NVR, but should accept the raw streams from the Camera. Seems to work quite well to view on my main TV.

recommended Harddrive size for 4-5 IP cameras? (continous or not?)

It's not dependent on the resolution, but on the Bitrate of the cameras. Take a look at the following link for an estimation into how much space will be used by each camera. Techex | Streaming Calculator What you record is a personal choice, but I chose to record continuous to ensure nothing...

Are you using the POE ports on the cameras? If so surely resetting them so plug and play works is the easiest? Unless you've already set configurations on the cameras? Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
