    Recommendation for interior cam

I need to purchase 2 POE cams that will be used as baby monitors. I'll be using a Dahua NVR, so i'd prefer to use Dahua cams. Any recommendations?

    NVR with IR control?

Well, after a quick google seach, perhaps access via my phone without internet is possible. Regardless, my main goal was control of my NVR from a few different TVs It appears that is not as simple as I had hoped.

    NVR with IR control?

I am not aware of a way to have a wifi connection (to allow access to a camera app from my phone) that does not also require an internet connection. But I am, admittedly, not tech savy.

    NVR with IR control?

Thanks for your reply. Normally, a way to combat this is obviously via a smart phone to independently view different cams. Unfortunately, an internet connection at my new house is going to be a serious challenge which is why I'm setting up my house to be able to view my system from every TV.

    NVR with IR control?

Newbie here. I'm pre-wiring my new house with Cat6 and will be able to view my NVR from 4 different TVs (using a 1x4 HDMI converter). The way i'll be doing this *should* allow IR at each location. Are there NVR's (looking at Dahua) that allow control via IR? Or only via mouse?

New Construction home, pre wiring, and PoE suggestions for a newbie

I planned on putting the NVR in my "tech" room (which will be secure) but hiding it somewhere like that is a good idea. Thanks.

New Construction home, pre wiring, and PoE suggestions for a newbie

Perhaps I should clarify better. I already have Cat6 and monitors. Is there anything I need to purchase other than: 1) Dahua NVR 2) Hard Drive 3) Cameras From there, I can setup everything using my monitor and the hard drive? Do Dahua NVR's come pre-loaded with the necessary software? Thanks.

New Construction home, pre wiring, and PoE suggestions for a newbie

Thanks for your reply and insight. Would you classify Dahua as "plug 'n play?" Buy an NVR, HD, PoE cameras and its pretty much ready to go?

New Construction home, pre wiring, and PoE suggestions for a newbie

Hello I'm currently having a new construction home built. I just ordered 1000ft of monoprice STP CMR Cat6 for my home for the sole purpose of getting ready for a camera system (my first). I already know how to properly wire my home with Cat6. I'm planning to run this Cat6 from my "tech room"...
