    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

@MadamImAdam, probably as good as your gong to get:DS-2DE4A204IW-DE Link ->Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co. Ltd. Looks to be the same camera with a 2.8-12mm lens assembly - I think 2.8-94mm is a bit of an ask at this price point. Can't guarentee it is exaclty the same for features like...

    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

Anti-Aircraft... who knows, I just updated mine - its also a WR (purchased through normal UK distribution channels). All seems okay - no noticable loss of features, still have face detection, auto-tracking etc but will need to play with it a bit to see how it works out.

    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

Yeah I wouldn't update if the camera is a grey import. Section 3 of the firmware notes looks intresting.

    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

I had to update the firmware to 5.4.8 to get h.265/265+

Simple functions such as changing dates, OSD locations, general brightness/contrast etc can be done via the NVR - more advanced functions - PTZ specific, BLC/WDR/HLC etc via the IPC web gui - just have a play and see what you can do via both.

    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

Historically I've never known the firmware on Hik NVR's to have that much to do with the IPC - infact as you've noticed there's remarcably little you can control outside of the IPC's own web gui.

    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

Just be careful with future firmware updates - while we're all enjoying the Auto-Tracking feature its not part of the offical spec so may be withdrawn.

    DS-7608NI-E2/8P - won't power up some cameras

And you've tried the same non-working camera(s) on different ports - i.e. one that works for other cameras?

    h.265+ problem

Its likely a firmware issue then, I'd imagine that it takes more processing power to decode H265+ so there may be an issue there especially in 4k.

    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

    nice comparison!

    h.265+ problem

That may be it, I remember on the E range of NVR's there was issues with live view and multiple main streams over 1080p - 4MP camera's for instance had to be displayed in substream which looked rubbish if you had a 4MP as the main screen in a 1+7 or 1+5 setup - have you tried the 8MP on a single...

I did ask, apparently not - half baked feature from hik imo.

    h.265+ problem

Worked okay for me on a 7616NI-I2, but that was with a 2mp ptz with 265+ Got all the latest firmware?

DS-7608NI-K2 thumbnail preview - NO RESOURCE

Are your camera's higher then 3MP? I spoke to one of the Hik tech supports about this - I have the 7616NI-I2 (has a little more grunt then the K series) and also get this. Results of the conversation - any camera above 3MP the recorder is unable to decode and make the preview pics is the...

2016 Hikvision cameras don't work full res on DS-7616HI-ST

I've got that same hybrid model sitting in a box - was my first Hik recorder, not cheap but did the job of bridging me from old analogue to IP - its dated, has some strong features but the random reboots killed it for me - seems changing the analogue camera settings to anything other then...

DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZ with Onboard LPR/ANPR(License Plate Recognition)

Intresting thread! I'd give it a go if I had one of these camera's to hand - looks like you should be able to revert if the firmware is a problem.

    NSC-4A220-PTZir & NSC-4A320-PTZir Mini PTZ Security Overview

Line crossing & Intrusion is setup per preset - up to 4 for each, there is a 1 sec delay between changing between presets and the zone becoming active. Motion detection is switched off during camera movement and again only becomes active once the camera comes to a stop (about 1 sec delay).

    Hikvision DS-2CD2385FWD-I (8MP Turret)

Okay, sounds like you have it worked out - the NVR will over-ride some settings that you may enter via the IPC's web server, something to keep in mind. Have you tried talking to LTS about the issue?

    Hikvision DS-2CD2385FWD-I (8MP Turret)

Hi gpower07 - can you elaborate on the issues? Also the TV & NVR - I'm assuming that the TV is simply connected to the NVR to function as a monitor and we're not talking about a smart TV with iVMS4500 loaded onto it? Your NVR appears to be a rebrand or clone of the Hikvision 7600/K series, but...

    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

Yeah I live on the Wirral, the lights on this street are those dim amber sodium lights (you know the ones that start of red when they first come on) - old fashioned concrete lamp posts - one every hundred yards or so. But don't let the pictures fool you - the street looks better illuminated...

    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

Way better then the old 3MP's, I had those all over and the 4MP was better then those making colour night vision a real possiblity - the jump in night time IQ with this PTZ which may well share the same or similiar sensor as the new Easy IP3.0 camera's is a similar of not bigger leap.

    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

On last capture, PTZ looking up the road from the other night - easier to compare with the 4MP.

    Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

Keep in mind Hik's Lux ratings for this camera are a t F1.6 (colour Lux 0.05) Hik 4MP exaples here are rated 0.01 @ F1.2 (bigger iris) however this PTZ out performs the 4MP. The new 3 & 5MP are 0.005Lux @ F1.2 (more iris light) so you can't directly compare them on paper although a rough...

On paper... in real life the night vision is very good, easy to use it on a dimly lit street in colour mode.

DS-2CD2032F-I - doesn't work (not detected) LED lights ON

Tired a factory reset via the little button on the back? Hold the reset button for about 20sec while powering it up. Chances are the camera's died though :(
