Which cam for pointing through window (day/night) to use with BI?
If thru window then use external IR projector outdoor, and turn off internal IR Leds of the camera or you will see nothing at night because of IR reflection, you may also use IR projector indoor but not close to camera.- Dodutils

if the cam integrate P2P feature then it's normal but... some cams may have some virus/trojan/bot some guys also like to buy cam, infect and return product for refund and wait until it is resold- Dodutils

Well may be you can access the camera thru Telnet and change the wpa_supplicant config file yourself with empty password, or if it is only a javascript check you can spoof the HTTP POST and push an empty password value- Dodutils

Change a Hikvision lens from 2.8mm to 4mm or 6mm?
I did also lens change from 3.6mm to 12mm and as @nayr said the 12mm lens was a bit too long so I had to unscrew the electronic, push it back manually and fix it inside the case with a bit of hot glueon each PCB's corner, now here is the view I get I also tried a few lens and often got shitty... -

downsizing resolution is not cropping but may be your camera permit to have a cropped view thru some 1920*1080 rectangle you can move inside the full 3 or 4MP frame that will be what is streamed -

Yes full RTSP and you can set resolution/compression as you want, I actually use it with Contacam and NetcamStudio so I see no reason it may not work with Blue Iris unless you cannot define "custom" RTSP camera as Xiaomi will not be part of pre-defined list. -

Hum... played too much with the video_sc1135.xml xonfig file, Digoo got bootloop :-( but fortunately I made a .bak of config file in same folder and as the camera stay a few seconds "accessible" before bootloop I had time to copy/paste a "cp /ncp/config/video_sc1153.xml.bak... -

So dumb I am I didn't even tried/thought about doing a simple telnet on this camera and calling netstat I saw this Digoo has Telnetd so I tried it... typed root login and ... no password needed ... no more teardown I lost time but it was fun and Teardown is my second name ;-) -

Just find out how to hack the Digoo M1Q :-) only had to find the RX/TX TTL debug console inside the camera... hacking around to find what is interesting, finally find out some XML config file with H264 settings inside, changed the bitrate and here is the result -

Just an example to show how Digoo M1Q 1.3MP performs day/night, and daylight (compared to previously posted Xiaomi example) it is far below Xiaomi quality but at night it is the opposite (may be because it's 1.3MP not 2MP) but for indoor (this camera is not for outdoor) this 18$ camera is fun... -

Yeah sure with RTSP stream, for now I am testing with Contacam (freeware) and NetcamStudio (free up to 2 cams), but they are WiFi only so you may need some WiFi extender or a wired WiFi router outside the house that will "grab" all outdoor cameras and send the network back inside the house thru...
