They just don't have very good AT cameras. My Hikvision cameras are awesome and tracking solidly 90% of the time. Between my two Hikvisions in the front, I get 95% of all license plates even at night. -

The Sunba Illuminati has been getting good reviews on its tracking. I was just watching a review video when I realized all the menus are actually Hikvision menus rebranded to Sunba!!!!! The video shows a quick walk through of all the menus and they are identical to my Hikvision cameras. -

I have many fixed cameras and that is a complete hack. It will get a camera pointed in a specific direction, but it won't get the kind of tracking I need that I already get with my two Hikvision cameras. I'm boxing this one up tomorrow to send it back and will get the DS-2DE4A425IW-DE. -

Maybe but my Hikvision cameras have exactly the same tracking engine as the smaller DS-2DE4A425IW-DE cameras that are about the same price as this Dahua. The only downside to those is that the plastic domes tend to reflect IR inside making it not quite as ideal at night. Also, the 4 MP of the... -

That's not it. There are plenty of other examples where the mailbox never even comes into view and the camera does exactly the same thing. If object being tracked went behind the mailbox, that would be one thing but without that, i won't know the difference between a foreground and background... -

It just can't be this bad. Maybe having global tracking and IVS plan tracking on at the same time is conflicting somehow? I just disabled global tracking. Next I'll disable IVS and turn global tracking back on. I just need it to track at least half as good as the Hivision. -

Without the rule and global auto tracking turned on, it tracks cars going by on the cross street all day long. I tried raising the line up a bit to see if it can start tracking sooner over the threshold and also pulled back the zoom just a bit. Clearly the Hikvision camera's are way better at... -

Can't send email without using IP address
Odd. So when it's set to static, the DNS address are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 which doesn't work. As soon as I set to DHCP, it changes the DNS addresses to 192.168.1.1 which doesn't work. But if I enter 8.8.8.8 and override it, it does work but NOT when set to static. Nothing I do will get it to work... -

You misunderstood. It doesn't even work with DHCP unless I enter the IP address manually. If I switch to static IP it doesn't work at all no matter what. -

If I enter smtp.gmail.com, it doesn't work. If I ping the IP address from smtp.gmail.com and enter that in the server address, it works fine. Obviously that's just a short term fix since googles smtp server address changes from time to time. Also, even with the IP address directly used, it... -

Can't get my new SD59225U-HNI to track reliably. It's about 25% successful. Dahua example: Hikvision example: IVS rule: Is it just the Dahua is not very good at tracking vs the Hikvision? Yes about 25% of the time it tracks perfectly fine but most of the time it's like this.
