    I think you'll find if you open the case, the connector may or may not be present. The limiting factor is the firmware. My guess is the connector is there (makes almost no sense to do a separate production run to eliminate what is, in bulk, a connector that costs a few cents if that.

    I've contemplated doing this but frankly it isn't cost effective given the price of the higher capacity cards. A NUC is easily concealed; its unlikely the typical "smash and grab" break-in will have criminals who will take the time to find it.

    You can use curl to retrieve data through the ISAPI interface, and then parse the result. If you search here you'll find several Linux scripts which do just this to change settings dynamically based upon sunset. I have no idea what the counting data is.

    I have a couple of these cameras and find their performance sufficient in the "dark" (noting of course "dark" is relative since there is always some light). Can you post your image/video settings?
