I picked up a DS-2CD2442FWD on the cheap so my wife can use it in the nursery to monitor our daughter from her cell phone, rather than using a baby monitor.

I cannot get the audio to work in internet explorer, though. No matter what audio settings I use, the audio control shows as muted in the webcomponents and if I try to unmute I get an error "audio on failed".

any ideas? latest firmware downloaded and installed.

edit: audio apparently is not working when using the ivms android app either.

In the video settings did you enable "video and audio"?
